This Winter i traveled in Rome Italy. I found a very very and very cheap hotel called The palms located very near of a bus terminal and very near of a subway train station. Not so far away from center of Rome just 15 minuites from Rome main center and 12 miniutes from City of Vatican. The Hotel was very comfortable although the bedrooms were large. Quiet and safe location with very comfortable beds! . The staff were extremely helpful. As the apartment is a bus ride from the city centre and tickets for the bus are only available from a vending machine. I will certainly stay there again. It’s right next to the Underground and everything you need. If you buy a week’s pass or (three days) you’ll save a lot (you can take how many busses or subway you need, 2 entrance free in the most important museum and 50% discount in all museums) and get to see the wonderful sights Rome.

We just returned from 10 days in Rome, and we found The Palms to be basically comfortable and clean. Although we were a far distance from the tourist areas, a train station is a five minute walk away, and the neighborhood offers shopping and restaurants. The owner, Sergio, is kind and very helpful. Overall we recommend the facility and we would happily stay there again.
