What a great place. Rosa Maria is a great hostess and the maid was also a charm. Very close to the Vatican. 15-20 min. walk to Plaza Livorno. We walked there several times to meet friends and have dinner near the Pantheon. Walked back one night and took a cab home another night after a full day of walking. Cab to Coliseum is about 10 euro. Taxi station right around the corner near a good restaurant. If you are coming from the airport have Rosa arrange transportation as normal cabs have difficulty finding it. 40 euro and Rosa meets you. Finding her place is not easy but once you know where it is you cannot get lost. Rosa makes sure you know how to get around Rome and will help in many ways.

We stayed at the apartment just a few meters away from the B&B main location. The apartment building is on a quiet, private street in a newer building. The bathroom was large, well lighted, with a very large shower. Because we were in an apartment, we did not have daily interaction with the other guests, but having a well equiped efficiency kitchen allowed us to have breakfast when we wanted. The foods supplied by the hostess were a lot of fresh fruit, jellies and Nutella, fresh milk (a real plus), coffee, bottled water, crackers and breads. Her recommendations for restaurants were very good. The distance to the Vatican, bus stops and good restaurants and a grocery would be measured in feet. Minus would be no wi-fi at the apartment.

My wife and I stayed stayed here 4 nights and I can't tell you how much we are glad we stayed with Rosa Maria and Meldi. First of all the room B&B is in a great location. Quiet, good restaurants within proximity and within blocks of Vatican City. So close in fact, we enjoyed walking over to St. Peter's Square for a after dinner stroll. The room was plenty spacious, very clean, neatly decorated, and very comfortable. The we had the bathroom outside the room which wasn't a problem at all. It too was clean and spacious. I always looked forward to the breakfast in the mornings which Medli brought to our room via a cart. The fruit cup was fantastic! It also included your breads, yougurt, jams, orange juice and a delicious cappucino. I always asked Meldi for one more which she gladly provided. She is always so cheerful and always greets with a smile. But what I liked just as much as the other great things, is the attention and service that Rosa Maria gave to us on our stay. She was always helpful in plotting the best routes to our sightseeing tours, gave us helpful tips on transportation around the city, and made sure if we ever needed anything to give her a phone call. She also set up our taxi ride to the airport which she absolutely tried to get us the best price given it was so early in the morning. Rosa Maria and Meldi truly were wonderful people. I will absolutely stay here on my next visit to Rome.

My family stayed at the Sun Room apartment in July/09. It was perfect . Extremely clean, and a wonderful location. There is a grocery store 2 blocks away and a laundromat. one block away. Rosa Maria was very helpful with tips and also instrumental locating our lost luggage. She braved a terrible rain storm to come and greet us. The doorman Antonio was also very friendly and cheerful. We certainly did not want to leave.
P.S. HI ROSA MARIA!

Even before I left for Rome, Rosa Maria was very helpful by emailing me all the information that I needed on how to arrive at her B&B. Upon arrival, both she and Meldi where there to meet us and took care of getting all our luggage (which was a lot) upstairs.

The B&B is located on the 2nd floor of an old building but luckily, there is a small elevator that was useful in getting the luggage upstairs as well as for our use after a long, tiring day of touring. We were given all the necessary keys to make sure that we had access, but also that we felt safe.

It is in a great location very close to the Vatican and right near the bus line. There are also some nice restaurants and an internet cafe. We found it to be a very nice location, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas yet very convenient to transportation.

Rosa Maria was very helpful in giving us a map and marking where to find the proper bus to get us where we wanted to go. She also made suggestions and recommendations for sites as well as restaurants.

Meldi brought us the most wonderful continental breakfast each morning at the time we requested. We really couldn't get over how much was served and how nice the breakfast was. It included a wonderful. fresh fruit cup, yogurt, croissants, breads and crackers, Nutella, Jams, cheese, coffee, milk & juice. It was really lovely. In addition, Meldi kep the room clean, supplied fresh towels and was always smiling and cheerful.

The room was spotless and a really nice size. There was a mini-fridge, a safe, a good size closet and dresser with drawers. The bathroom was a decent size as well and although it included a blow dryer, I couldn't work with it very well so Meldi gave me an individual blow dryer that was wonderful and saved me.

When we were ready to leave, Rosa Maria called a taxi for us and both she and Meldi went down with us to speak to the driver and make sure he took care of us, and to say good-bye. They both just couldn't do enough for us and I feel like we made new friends who we will see again when we return.

I would definitely recommend this B&B and hope to stay there again in the future.
