Lovely little place close to Termini Rail Station. Not a hotel or B&B particularly, more like a collection of small apartments. Each is clean and tidy and a good size. Shower is great. All rooms/apartments have access to a 'breakfast room' adjacent and when I stayed there were a couple of vending machines. There are DVDs for guests to watch.

As I mentioned, the 69 Manin Street is very close to Termini. Easy to walk past so keep your eyes peeled. It shares the building with other residents, particularly local businesses. There are stairs or a lift if you are feeling lazy. Walk past the accommodation and you'll reach Rome's famous Santa Maria Maggiore (there's also a good espresso bar at the end of the street). Also in this location is a bus stop for the city tour. Go on it to get a feel for the city - you'll be able to walk to everywhere once you have done it...even the Vatican!!!

I'd have no problem booking a stay here again, although I can also appreciate that the accommodation's location may put some people off. It is certainly not in the centre of Rome and you do get some noise from the trams that run along the street. You may not choose 69 Manin Street because the building is not immediately obvious from the road. You might not like the fact that it shares a building with other businesses. If you can cope with all of these minor issues, go for it!!!

My wife and I visited Rome for 4 days.
After doing an extensive research for a suitable hotel in Rome, Italy, we came up with 69 Manin street B&B.
It was one of the most cheapest hotels in the category of 3-4 stars (around 100 Euros difference) and it offered first rate services.
We read a lot complaints about the room sizes in Rome, both in the lower class and even in the 5 stars range. However, this hotel proved an exception. For two people sharing the room there was enough space to accommodate 2 medium size suitecases and one didn't feel like a caged animal. The room also offered a small refrigerator and the ability to make oneself coffee or tea.
There was enough room in the closet and the bathroom was big enough with an excellent shower (even though we hoped to have a bath tab or jacuzzi). Even enough electricity sockets (for charging gadgets) and free internet proved a real treat.
Also the short walk from Termini station (2 minutes) is a real plus when using the Metro or the train.
Although the above may seem trivial, it appears that in Rome this isn't the case.
We would also like to praise the staff that was extremely nice and helpful. They made our stay a great experience and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

nice tidy rooms the jacuzzi shower is to die for after a long walk around rome all day.staff very welcoming the place is safe and secure and within walking distance of all the sights.two minute walk from station and a fantastic italian resteraunt directly over the road you must try nouveo stella.a word of warning though DO NOT try santis resteraunt next door, terrible food, terrible service, and the odd euro throw on your bill ,but you cannot argue over it because the owners are both o.a.p.s so you will do as i did walk out feeling agrieved and your night spoilt.but go to rome use this hotel and be in awe of it all like my wife and i.

Please take this review as a warning! Do not stay at this place. This is not a hotel as advertised. Its more like a shared appartment. Dirty facilities, small rooms, although close to the station its far from anything worth seeing. Please don't waste your money!

We have just returned from a long weekend in Rome. The hotel is a two minute walk from the termini station and located on the third floor up of a building. We were greeted by Francesco - the manager of 69 Manin street who was extremely welcoming and helpful, providing us with a map, places to visit and transport options. The hotel room was immaculate - with room safe, tv and tea and coffee making faclities. The jacuzzi shower was fab after a day's walking! Breakfast was provided for an extra cost of 5 euros pp and there this was more than filling. Although small, the service provided at this hotel is above and beyond what we have recieved at other hotels. Francesco and his staff cannot do enough to look after you and he even gave us free internet access after we had checked out when we had to book another flight following ours being cancelled. Would use again and would highly recommend.
