My husband and I were in Rome for 3 days. I found this hotel on Tripadvisor. It was a good price and included breakfast. The location was fantastic. It was within 1/2 mile of Termini Station, easy walk. The room was nice size, had everything you needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was nice and there were quite a few choices. Definately would recommend to anyone and return.

If you are arriving by train, this is really a GREAT location. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast good, and although the room was a little small it was very quite interesting. It was a bit noisy at night, but Rome is a big city after all.

We just returned home from a week long trip to Italy and we stayed at the Hotel Gea for 2 nights. Months ago I had emailed them and I booked a family "apartment" for the amazing price of only 190 Euros/night including breakfast and taxes. I only have positive things to say about this hotel. First the apartment we booked was huge with a sitting area, 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. We are 2 adults and 3 children and we had tons of room to spread out. Second of all I loved the location. It's on Via Nazionale about 2 blocks south of Piazza della Repubblica. It's only a 5 - 10 minute walk from the train station and that was very convenient. There was a supermarket 2 blocks away on Via Nazionale heading the other direction. It was about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps and about a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum.
What really set this hotel apart was the friendliness and the charm of the staff. When we arrived we were greeted by Francesca and she cheerfully showed us our room and that if you book the apartment you have a separate entrance on the side street. Then later that night another lovely and helpful woman Alessandra helped us to choose a restaurant for dinner and was so warm and welcoming that it really made you glad you booked this hotel. Not to be forgotten was the woman who served the breakfast in the morning. She didn't speak any English and I don't speak any Italian but we smiled a lot at each other and she was so nice as to give me a tray to bring back some breakfast food to our sleeping children in our room.
There is a computer in the lobby that was rarely busy and the guests were welcome to use it. If you bring your laptop you can use their wireless internet in the lobby too. The day before we left Francesca arranged for a cab to come for us and Alessandra stored our luggage for us during the day after we checked out. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a totally positive experience and a very good value too!

The Hotel Gea is on a busy street..and there was lots of noise. The AC didn't work correctly and we had to keep the windows open and at night and early morning the noise was somewhat disturbing. The breakfast provided was very good. Plenty of choices, and good variety. Pleasant staff. Helpful for the most part. We were able to access our personel email at a computer in the lobby. It was within walking distance to Termini which was good. This was my first trip abroad so I have nothing to compare to...but all in all..a good stay.

This was my second time staying at the Hotel Gea and it was as good as the first. My daughter and I were travelling together and the size of our room was great with a beautiful big bathroom. The breakfast each morning (included in the room price) was a great start to the day. The front desk staff were friendly and spoke great English. The use of a computer to send emails was also great. This hotel is easily within walking distance of almost any place you want to go to in Rome, is close to a metro station and has great shopping and restaurants nearby
