We stayed at this hotel at the height of tourist season when all the hotels in Rome seemed to have hiked their prices well above 100 Euros. We paid 105 Euros (a DEAL, right?) for a room with a bathroom inside for one night and our time there could not have been over fast enough.
Upon arrival, we noticed that the reception area was nice; the staff was pleasant; and the man working the front desk even helped us take our bags to the room. However, our positive opinions of the hotel quickly changed once we entered the room. There seemed to be a dusty film on the tile floor (in the bedroom area) and the walls of the bathroom were a light shade of black due to the mold they had allowed to grow there. The tile on the floor was cracked and one could easily pinch their foot if they were bold enough to walk into the bathroom with bare feet (I wasn't). Overall, my boyfriend and I did not feel clean after taking COLD showers and the room just put us in a bad mood.
The breakfast was pretty standard (and free) but the coffee tasted like coffee flavored water...not a great way to start out the day.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel unless they do a major overhaul to their rooms. We should have known we were in a questionable place when the hotel staff bad-mouthed his own hotel while walking with us to the room (this did happen). Thank goodness it was only for one night!!!
