he location was very good. However, the rooms desperately need decorating - doesn't look like it's been done since WW2. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, doors flakey and splitting, horse hair coming out of the base of the bed which was held together with sellotape. Booked en-suite but found only a shower and sink, the toilet was down the hall. The rooms were also advertised as having a mini-bar which 2 didn't, and we booked 3 rooms for 9 ladies between 60-70 years old to find the bathroom door wouldn't close in one of them.
After the manager claimed to be unable to give us a room with a toilet due to "plumbing problems" (we heard him say this to several other people)he eventually consented to give us 60 euros off the total price.
The breakfast was very bland and the coffee looked and tasted like mud.
Definitely not worth over £1,000 for 3 rooms/3 nights, without question the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and would beg anyone to give this place a wide berth.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in Oct. Rate was €110 per night which is an ok price for Rome. The woman at "reception" had no english so we got by with the little Italian we had. We had booked a room with a bathroom and found that while we had a shower and sink in our room we had no toilet! The toilet was down the hall. This toilet also had a shower for other guests so sometimes you were waiting to use the toilet while someone was having a shower. I found this very irritating, they should have said that our room had no toilet in it in advance. The room was extremely spacious, with charming old furniture. However, the beds were really soft and old, quite uncomfortable really. We were woken up every morning by someone clattering dishes around at 7.30 in the morning in the kitchen.
We had a fan in the bathroom that growled and grumbled and made lots of noise when switched on.
Breakfast was included in the price altho on 2 occasions when we went to have breakfast all 3 tables were full so what could we do, we were hungry so we had breaksfast out every morning.
On the upside, it does have a great location right beside Via Nazionale, Republica, and 5 min walk to Termini station.
If you'r not fussy at all book it.

Perfect price / quality balance!
+ Location: 2 minutes walk from piazza Reppublica (metro), 7 minutes walk from Termini, 15 minutes walk from the Colosseum
+ Staff: very friendly: separate thanks to Alesandro, who helped us open the door then we broke the key, to Maria who served us breakfast in room in half an hour after the breakfast was over =)
+ Clean.
- The bathroom is not in room - 1 for the floor (but really clean), actually, there are some rooms with bathroom, some - without.
- No TV, conditioner - if it's a minus ;)

So I can tell that if you search for high level hotel you could be disappointed, if you looking for the comfortable place to sleep - it's perfect.
Next time I'm in Rome - I'll go here.

2 star rating is not what you expect in the uk. The bathroom and toilet was outside through balcony door. No carpets or rugs on the floor just cracked tiles. The second room was so dirty that when a patch of wall[aper was tested it left a huge white circle. Had to eat cornflakes out of small coffee cup. The bar (is just reception desk with plastice cups only. Definately no trades discription act in this hotel.

This must rate as the worst "hotel" in which I have ever had the misfortune to stay. The room was disgusting with broken lamps and torn wallpaper hanging from the walls. The bathroom was equally gloomy and dirty and the shower produced no hot water. At 115 Euros per night I would have expected much better but on complaining to the manger I was told that I should expect no better for central Rome. Be warned, you CAN do better.
