We chose this hotel because it is close to Ciampino Airport. Big mistake. Unfortunately, it took our cab driver 40 minutes to find the hotel less than 2 km from the airport. The meter was at 17 euro after driving around, lost, for that long. So we went inside upon arrival to ask advice of hotel staff for a reasonable price to give the taxi driver for what should have been a 5 minute trip and they advised 15 euro. Ridiculous.
A couple of good things about the room: it was spacious and had 4 single beds if that's what you need, and it was moderately clean. However....
*the AC was not working well,
*the TV wold not turn on,
*the minibar fridge empty and barely cold,
*the shower head did not fit in the holder (so you had to hold it in place with one hand if you wanted water to spray on you instead of onto the wall)
*the tap water tasted so terrible we were scared to even brush our teeth. We bought bottled water to do this. We had been in Italy for 2 weeks and drank tap water constantly from many sources....we are not picky!
We stayed in Rome, Venice, Florence, and Siena on this trip and this was the most expensive and worst hotel we had. It is the only thing that shows up when you search for the Ciampino Airport area, but you do not really need to stay that close. There is public transportation that can get you to Rome and a better hotel.
