Like others we had selected this hotel only for an early flight. Although it is so close to Exit 23 from the autostrada, even when you get the right road in to Ciampino, the hotel is invisible from the road. We only found it by pulling in to the Airport Parking Compound. Prewarned I had emailed the hotel to ask for an ungrade to the superior room and had a confirmation. On arrival the receptionist was curt and would not read the email. However she did acknowledge it later when I queried it and moved us to a better room, 110, upgraded and not too near the doors. The following morning, reception was very pleasant, we were also given a discount on the price quoted in the email. It looks like they have upgraded rooms 1-150. I would not stay at this motel type for any other reason than proximity to the airport for an early flight, but for this purpose it proved adequate. The restaurant was fine. The shower was a bit dodgy. For those looking for it, take exit 23, head straight away for Ciampino centro, tunnel, scruffy road pass derelict AGIP garage on left. Turn in to Airport Parking compound on right. Hotel is single storey to the right, well hidden! When heading to the airport you have to initially follow the Fiumincino sign! then aeroporti to drop again on to via appia. Easy once you know how!

This is a great hotel to stay in if you need to stay close to Ciampino airport.
It is a 5 minute drive from the hotel to Ciampino airport.
The rooms were large, very clean, beds a bit hard (but that seems to be the norm in Italy)
The evening meal in the restaurant was well above avarage, highly recommended! The waiters were very friendly and helpful and had a great sense of humour.
The staff on reception were also very welcoming, pleasant and helpful.
Also everyone spoke English!
Will definately stay there again, an all round great hotel.

We stayed here because of an early flight out of Ciampino airport. This hotel is very close to the airport, so close, that you could literally walk to the runway. It is not in a nice location, nothing is nearby and is more like a motel than a 3 star hotel, that was rated by venere.com.

The front desk staff were not very helpful. For staff working in Ciampino, you would think they would know how to get to the train station and give you directions when driving by car. Instead, they were pushing you to use their shuttle service, which is provided for a fee. And does not have a schedule.

The rooms are very outdated and would be equivalent to a 1star motel in Canada. There was only a very thin bed sheet between yourself and the mattress, and you can see the colour of the mattress coming through. The room smelled of bleach and cigarettes. The shower floor was dirty.

I would not recommend this hotel, unless you just need a place to sleep to catch an early flight. We paid 85 euros for one night, in my opinion, it should only cost 50 euros or less a night. Do not stay here, if you're considering this as your homebase for visiting Rome. It is not conveniently located and you will need to take their shuttle service or taxi to the train station. The taxi ride should be less than 10 euros, we had a car, but had to pay for parking in Ciampino centre (.70/hr). If you are taking the train from Ciampino to Rome, time is 15 minutes.

First the good, spacious rooms, ability to park cars close to room, and decent restrauant located in the hotel. Now the bad, this hotel is located in out in the middle of nowhere. On one side of the hotel you have a airport carpark, on the other you have a bunch of derilict buildings and in the rear you have plane hangers used for fixing passenger aircraft (yes the airport is that close to the hotel.) Planes are landing all the time and the hotel is right under the flightpath of these landing aircraft. All the halls and floors in in this hotel are tiled. So EVERYTHING in the halls echo into the rooms, talking, running, children playing, people arriving/departing. If you are a light sleeper and have a room by reception you will not sleep. If you plan on visting Rome the closest underground link is Anagnina, which is located 5-10 minutes by hotel shuttle or taxi. Either way will cost you 10 euro and then it takes another 20 minutes by underground to reach downtown Rome. If you do not have a car you will most likely eat at the restraunt located in the hotel, the food was good and the prices were reasonable. Again, if you want to buy some food and bring it to your hotel room goodluck as there are no stores at all located near this hotel. If you are catching a flight out of Ciampino airport this is a good place to stay for the night before to catch you plane the next day. If you want to visit Rome and its sights this is not the hotel to stay at!

It was close to a disaster staying there. But some parts of the experience make up for it.

The rooms were old. Bed was uncomfortable. Tap water had a funny taste (weird to be exact). Dunk musty smell emanated from the toilet. Had to keep it shut all the time. Walls were thin - no protection from noisy people in the corridor. Too close to the airport - can hear the noise from aircraft.

Some rooms are very far off from the reception (more than 150m away). You'll have to take a long walk to get to your room.

Location was BAD. Takes 1 hour to go the airport with 1 transfer. Bus to metro or Bus to train. Bus services not that frequent and bus timetable not fully updated. Some of the buses from Rome are EXPRESS services that go directly to the airport and do not pass by the hotel. As such, the last bus from the metro to the hotel is 8pm. NOT 11pm. (see photo for bus timetable). And Taxis are expensive. An alternative would be to call for the hotel shuttle service for 5 euros from the metro or the train station. Much cheaper that way.

Good for travellers who need to catch early morning flight from ciampino. otherwise, if you want to see Rome city and have limited time - you are much better off spending a bit more staying near the city and saving yourself a lot of inconvenience and heartache, esp from the travelling.

Staff were generally pleasant. Food was good esp the pizza. But stay away from the pasta - not the best I have tasted and expensive considering the good quality pizza you can have at a lower price. Pizzas only available at night.
