“Excellent Location with friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Great find - the location is amazing, just off the Spanish Steps but on a quiet side road, so we slept with the window open and weren't disturbed at all. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a hotel transfer from the airport that was prompt and reasonably priced. The only negative was the rather grim breakfast. Only the coffee was good. Despite this I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Go for a room at the back and you will have undisturbed sleep

Good hotel in a great location. The hotel sits on a quiet cobbled street a couple of minutes walk from the Spanish steps and 'Spagna' Metro station. Also a very short walk to designer shops, cafes and bars. The hotel decor is very nice and everything is spotlessly clean. We booked a large double which was very comfortable and enjoyed a great nights sleep.Breakfast is good with all the usual buffet type selection , fresh bread, rolls, fruit, eggs and bacon etc.

We travelled by bus from the airport, which dropped us at the Termini. We then took the Metro out to 'Spagna'. This is very reasonable, 1.50 euro, and is easy to do, even with luggage. The hop on hop off bus is also good value and a great way to see the city. Be aware of certain outlets charging 500% more than normal for ice cream, if there is no price list visible ask the price before you order.

Hotel Forte is a great base for exploring Rome and would definitely recommend to others.

Nice hotel, located in a very quiet area of the city center of Rome. The room was quite small, and there was not much light in the bathroom. There was wifi, but at a cost of 5 euros pr. 24 hours, it would be nice if the internet was included in the price. The staff was excellent and very serviceminded, and the breakfast was good,

We always stay here when we come to Rome, as we did this week. It is relaxed, low key, moderately priced, with comfortable rooms. A nice breakfast is served every morning. The service is pleasant and efficient. Ms. Wanda, who supervised breakfast, is a very kind and caring person. The hotel is located on a quiet street in a chic, central neighborhood, just five minutes from the Spanish Steps and within walking distance of just about everything you would want to see in Rome. You could not ask for a better location. Highly recommended.

During March 2013 we stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Compared with other hotels in Rome Center, Hotel Forte is unbeatable in terms of Value for Money. The staff is friendly and courteous. Many of "extra" requests for early check-in, boarding pass printouts & airport transfers were handled with a smile. Our room rate included breakfast which was served in a charming small room with a view. The selection for the breakfast was generously adequate! In accordance with the European norms the rooms are fairly small in size, however the rooms provide all basic requirements (small fridge, safe and dryer etc.).

For a typical tourist in Rome, the location of Hotel Forte is excellent! A short 3-5 mins. walk takes you to Spanish Steps and a convenient subway stop. A McDonald's restaurant is located 5 mins away in the Spanish Steps plaza. This hotel is located on the 1st floor but a decent sized elevator is available. The best thing about Hotel Forte is "Value for Money". Excellent location and facilities at a fairly modest price! Highly recommended!

Greeted upon arrival by friendly and courteous staff, the hotel is very comfortable and situated in a quaint, quiet street lined with nice shops and Bistro's. Cosy breakfast room with a wide range of food to choose from all courteously served by friendly staff. The room was excellent with T.V Hair dryer, Internet and air conditioning if needed. The whole place was clean, warm and very comfortable, the bed linen and towels in the bathroom were changed daily. The sites and places of interest if not on the doorstep are certainly within easy reach by walking.Would recommend highly and would definitely choose this hotel again when staying in Rome.
