“Floris Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

This hotel is near to the big Termini station, and a the top of a beautiful, grand road that leads down to Trajan's Column, etc. so was really well-placed. Bit hard to find, fourth floor above two other hotels, but cool, extremely clean, attractive rooms and excellent bathrooms, lovely breakfasts and very friendly. We went to Rome in the extreme heat of summer! and it was marvellous to get back into the cool and calm of Floris after our visits around Rome.

Once we found this hotel, (probably needs bigger sign!) we were incredibly impressed. Gorgeous, spotless rooms. Excellent extremely professional staff. Top class breakfast. Really couldn't fault it. Dying to go back!

The hotel is simply excellent! It is located on the 4th floor of a building at Via Nazionalle 251 (nearly 30 meters from the metro red line and next to a bus stop). It was a little bit hard to find, since two more hotels are hosted on the lower floors of the building, and there is only a small sign at the bottom of the door at the entrance. The hotel is a new one (it started two months ago), very modern with freshly decorated and large rooms. The service is excellent, including the breakfast buffet which was different from day to day. Coffee and juices are available for all guests all the time. There are two issues that should be reconsidered by the hotel administration: a) the lift should be upgraded: the closing doors are not automatic, so one have to be careful to manually close them after using it. Otherwise, the lift seems to be occupied and it is not available any more (reminder: the hotel is on the 4th floor!) b) the breakfast tables are limited and one might have to wait especially between 9 - 10. However, these issues can be considered short tips for a future guest and do not degrade the overall excellent accommodation impression.

Thanks to trip advisor we found this gem in the heart of Rome. A little tricky to find as it has only a small sign outside. It's on the top floor of a building with other hotels. Floris was freshly decorated, clean and rooms a good size with a great shower a d bathroom. Breakfast was a wonderful assortment of fresh fruit, lovely Italian pastries, good coffee and even a tiramasu. The hotel is wonderfully central and a few steps away from Repubblica Metro. Very convenient. The best was walking in the centre in the evening and finding wonderful places to eat. Great value for money. I would definitely stay here again.
