“High quality affordable B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

Rome is expensive but staying here made it affordable. Great location for sightseeing thanks to public transport almost on the doorstep. 15 minutes into Piazza Venezia on tram 8.
The B&B is real nice but if you want a private bath, you need to specify in advance as some do not. We shared but it was not a problem - the place was kept clean all day. Great sleep.
We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to central Rome and Trastevere.

A very small B&B which packs a big punch! Our room was lovely and fastidiously clean. We cannot complain about sharing a bathroom as we knew about that in advance. The bathroom was always clean. Sharing is part of the trade-off with the prices. Helpful owner. Breakfast was as good as elsewhere. The location is fine - not far from the fun part of Trastevere - but the big plus is the excellent and frequent public transport to the centre of Rome in 15 minutes which makes staying here a no-brainer. It was a wonderful location to stage from. Very good train service from the Trastevere train station to the airport which made for an unstressed departure.

This beautiful B&B offers all the comfort and refinement of an upmarket boutique hotel at low B&B prices. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated, with a stunning bathroom; exactly as in the beautiful photos. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well. Nice touches included slippers and bath kit. The room was immaculately clean. Excellent Wi-Fi and A/C. We did not have breakfast and went to a nice coffee shop across the road which opened very early. The B&B prices are low. In a city like Rome, equivalent accommodation in a hotel would normally cost at least twice or 3 times as much. It really is a perfect place to stay in Rome.

This seems to be the first review on Trip Advisor so I will give some more details. The location is in a residential part of Trastevere (a very hip part of Rome), but not in the centre of Trastevere which is an advantage noise-wise. It is very convenient for public transport. The B&B is minutes from the Trastevere train station with trains every 15 minutes to the Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport (and in the other direction to Tiburtina train station). A tram (number 8) or a good bus service (Bus H) takes you effortlessly into central Rome for sightseeing.; both are conveniently located near the B&B. Trastevere has a wonderful atmosphere and is lovely for eating out and a drink in the evening so we took the tram to the centre of Trastevere in a few minutes (you can also walk but it was hot!). The ease of public transport is one of the many key selling points of the B&B, as public transport is the only feasible way of getting around Rome.

The B&B is run very professionally by a charming young man (film-star handsome). He was immensely polite, welcome and attentive when we arrived. We know Rome quite well so we did not bother him (at least I hope not!).

To be very honest, I would not normally have stayed here as I would have thought it too out of the way. I also did not expect much in terms of quality as the prices are so reasonable (very low for Rome). However it was the only accommodation we could find at literally last-minute notice. It turned out to be an amazingly lucky choice - we had not realized that the transport connections would be so good. Nor had we realized that we were getting a sensational bargain - all the amenities of a very upmarket boutique hotel at low prices. Shows how wrong one can be!
We have already recommended this gem to family, friends and colleagues and plan on returning for a longer stay.

Room Tip: Gabriel room was perfect.
