We honestly felt out of place this hotel was sooo nice...we are middle class americans on a european tour and used to holdiay inns.... - this place is AWESOME and the same price as other hotels! this was our last stop before going home and we forgot to take pictures of the hotel - and this was the best place! the hard wood floors - gorgeous. the beds - clean, crisp, white, view from rooms - great - great location. nice staff - we showed up with one extra person - but they made arrangements for us! breakfast FREE and great - there is a person there to squeeze orange juice. birds in lobby - great! can't say enough. maybe a little hard to find - on the top of another building (small elvator for luggage and about 2 people)- but great place. great little restaurant around the corner with outside patio(they served us when they were closing). can't say enough. would go back in a second - hope i get to! bathrooms great - a/c great - bus stops rigt in front of hotel.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Lilium Hotel in March of last year on Easter weekend. We were in Italy for our wedding and decided to see Rome first. This hotel is exquisite! The staff were very friendly and put a bottle of champagne in our room since they knew we were getting married in a few days. The location is excellent and we took the bus from right outside the hotel to see St. Peter's and to the Vatican to hear the Pope on Easter Sunday. We walked up to Termini station to take a double decker tour of Rome and jumped on and off the bus at various sites through to the night. Which I highly recommend as you can see everything you want with one ticket.

The breakfast was wonderful as we really enjoy the European way to start the day with cheese, cold cuts, yogurt and made to order strong coffee. The fresh squeezed blood orange juice was so delicious (my husband still talks about it) and the atmosphere in the breakfast room was a perfect place to plan each day's activities.

I should give fair warning that there is an elevator that is quite small to get up to the hotel otherwise you need to take stairs. I found the stairs a nice option for exercise but for those who may have issues they will need to make sure the elevator is working. It was our whole stay.

The rooms are small and typical of a European hotel. Very clean with a nice bathroom and amenities. The little balcony is a nice although it rained most of our stay. I always love the automatic blinds to block out the morning sun. The wardrobe closet was perfect to hang our wedding clothes. The hand painted decor througout the hotel is lovely and really ads a great touch. The purple wood floors gives it an art deco feel and it is a bit like being inside a painting. I loved the birds in the lobby and the flower arrangement added to the ambiance of this lovely hotel.

I highly recommend this hotel and the owners are very friendly and gracious. I would say that it is a little oasis in a very busy city.

This is a really clean, beautiful boutique hotel in a secure, charming building on a somewhat busy street near Termini railway station.

The walls in the lobby are painted with a hand painted mural, and there is a pretty bird cage in the corner by a window that has an expansive view of the neighborhood. The ambiance is very soothing. The staff was very helpful; they will loan you a laptop if you want to check your email in your room.

The room that I stayed in was small, but it had a pretty terrace and a very clean, modern bathroom. The location is okay if you want to stay near Termini, but it's a bit of a walk to the Spanish Steps and many of the other "Old Rome" sights, especially if you're coming home alone late at night on foot. I will be returning to Rome again this year, but will not stay at this hotel primarily because of the location, although also since I think it is a tad expensive for a single traveler.

The Hotel is a piece of artwork. Lovely decor, immaculately clean, beautiful breakfast room. I enjoyed staying there and appreciated the beauty of this hotel.
