This hotel is located just a few blocks from the Colosseum which was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. The rooms where clean and the amenities were adequate. However, the room was small and the price was a little expensive considering the size of the room. But in the end, it was worth it to have the great location.

I was with my family 5 night in this hotel, in a triple room, 2nd floor. The staff are frendly and the breakfast was more than our expectation (salami, mortadela, butter, chees, fresh orange 1l on the table, more than 3 kind of cakes, milk, and coffe - american, espresso, capucino, toasts, honney,...).
From the hotel it possible to book a cab, or a minivan to and from the airport (50euro for 4 in a cab and 60 euro for 5 and more for a minivan). In the hotel area are: 4 minimarkets, an very good icecream location, a pizza al forno with more than 20 combinations of topings, many italian restaurants , some of the bests are: La tavernalle, La Carbonarra - both on a Via Panisperna and a Il Tettarello located on Via dei Capocci where we was eating 2 times.
So, the hotel is very good for visit Rome, after a walking day and a good food, you will sleep very good and do you not observ al the negative issues. Do'ot forget to taste Limoncello.

We were 4 girls! travel for budget holidays. The hotel was in great location, apr.5 min walking distance to Coloseum. We stayed in apartment on other side of street. The room was on the 2nd floor. It was clean and nice. Window was on street side. We felt like we were living in real Italian house, cos it was quite small. Next to our hotel there were delitious Ice Cream cafe. Breakfast was very good, but waitress was disappointed that we didn't try to speak with her in italian, but spoke in english. Hotel administrators were very nice and friendly! Good knowledge of Rome, show us on the map, all the best and top places in Rome!! Recomend this for budget travelers and those who don't need very big rooms!

First night, we were given a room that had the sign PRIVATE on it & was located just in corridor next to the breaksfast area... it was underground as well and really near the reception area... result : hardly any sleep since we could hear everyone come back at all hours & woke up really early from hearing people having their breakfast. Had that for 2 nights... got sick of it & asked for another room.

Got given a room upstairs with a FOUL SEWAGE SMELLY bathroom... could not go in it so we asked at the reception and all they could do was give us a industrial strenght deodorizing spray (that apparently shouldn't have been used by untrained people).

In both room, the bed was NOT a double bed but two single beds put together... very uncomfortable & unpractical since they kept moving apart.
There was too much noise , even in second bedroom(could hear all the other rooms flushing their toilets & people next door acting strange).

Only good point was location... but there were loads of other better looking hotels around.. so look for something else.

I DONT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL... VERY BAD VALUE FOR MONEY

This hotel is good for three things - Location, Price and the fact that breakfast was included.

When we first arrived they tried to put us in a room across the street, however it was so small that it looked like a prison cell! So we complained and they gave us a (slightly) better room in the main building. I've heard a few bad things on here about the rooms across the street so try and avoid them! The new room was still tiny and there was only enough floor space to walk around the bed. Having said this it was clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

We found the breakfast buffet fine - cereal/ham/pancetta/pastries etc. Our plan was to eat enough to last us through to teatime so it was great for us! Location was also great - plenty of bars/restaurants in the area and only 10min walk from Colleseum.

To be fair we paid £168 for 3 nights which is not much more than some youth hostels. So if you're on a budget like we were, then it's fine for a base for the city. Just don't expect anything fancy!
