When I stayed in Miriam Guesthouse a week ago I had never been to Rome before. I was there for a Jewish wedding and the community where the bride and groom live was right there. There is also an exellent kosher cafe around the corner called Dolce Kosher (for those who care).
The apartment was always clean, everyone who works there was pleasant and helpful, and public transportation was readily available. My room had a beautiful balcony with a table and chairs and a beautiful Roman street view. The room had two beds and was very comfortable for my friend and I to share. There is also a nespresso machine for excellent coffee whenever a guest may want.
The only downfalls are that other families who stay there can be loud and the woman who comes in to clean arranges the room as if she is your mother, putting things where she believes they should be.
I highly recommend this guesthouse.
