My mother and I took a trip to Rome over the summer (I'm 24 and shes 58) and we pain and agonized over what hotel to pick and which area to stay in. This was the perfect choice! It was centrally located to either walk or take a cab to our tours each day, and it was located near the fun nightlife areas to walk and get dinner. The staff was extremely helpful with recommendation and directions. They even gave us free Internet card so I could Skype all my friends back home. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Rome.

Stayed at 47 for 3 days over half term with my two kids (aged 8 and 11). Location was ideal - we could walk to pretty much all of historic Rome, or grab a bus from right outside. The view from the window was 2 of the oldest temples in the city, and the trees by the river. Simple but stylish facilities (roof garden bar, courtyard lounge area) and room was a good size and nicely appointed. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Booked this has a romantic getaway with the wife for a few days. We arrived late (about 11:00PM), but check in was efficient, quick and hassle free. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. We asked for a room on a high floor with a view, and we were duly obliged. The room was bigger than I expected considering we were in Rome with a 6ft bed, it was very clean and the bathroom was huge. Bearing in mind this is their basic Classic double - we were impressed. Breakfast was basic (pastries, sausages, eggs, bacon, cereal) but nice. We ate at the roof top restaurant, were we enjoyed the excellent view and rather good food. I had the tempura prawns and lasagne, while my wife had the brushette and spaghetti.
Location is very good near all the ancient Rome sites. The Vatican was 10 minutes away in a cab (about 9 euros). We walked back from the Vatican via the Trevi fountain without any problems.
We used an excellent company called Romecabs for the transfers from the airport. The drivers were on time and very polite.

On arrival I found that essentially all of the positives and all of the negatives I had read on Trip Advisor were true (yay Trip Advisor!).

The positives:
- the rooms are spacious and modern and good value for what you get compared to other places in Rome;
- the (included) breakfast is very good, the best we found during our trip (I did not find any issue with running out of items);
- the "Stay Longer" package deal IS excellent value;
- the hotel restaurant is surprisingly good;
- the hotel does feel generally clean and safe.

The negatives:
- we also found the front desk staff to be fairly unfriendly and unhelpful. on one occasion we asked for directions to a laundry mat. the woman at the front desk gave us directions to one. we walked 20 minutes to get there only to find there was no laundry mat. we did find a dry cleaners who advised there was no laundry mat in the area. when we reported this back to the hotel desk staff they were unapologetic and insisted we were simply wrong.
- the location is ok, but not ideal. it is a fairly long walk to the metro and though you are relatively close to the roman forum, etc, there are no cafes etc nearby. it feels pretty lonely at night;
- the waitstaff in the restaurant are friendly but slow; and
- the walls are pretty thin and you can hear people walking around, etc.
