My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in June. This was our first visit to Rome, and we loved the location. We walked everywhere - even the Vatican - and thought the hotel was very central. We found the best dining options to be in Trastevere, about a 5 minute walk. I had requested a quiet room prior to our arrival, and they made sure to honor that request when we arrived. There was no view to speak of, but we didn't have any street noise which was great. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious, and modern. The A/C worked well. The only area that needs improvement is the service at the rooftop restaurant (& room service, which is the same staff). The service was insanely slow. They definitely need to have more than 2 people working each shift. The restaurant and bar were pretty full, but the waitresses could not keep up. However, we noticed that slow service was very common in Italy. Overall, we liked our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Thanks to great reviews from Trip Advisor, we booked a room at Fortyseven Hotel. As soon as my husband and I checked in, the reception was fabulous. Instead of standing up at a usual hotel front desk, we sat down with the receptionist who is seated at a desk and checked in. The receptionists were very friendly and professional and a lot of hotels should look to them as great examples of customer service. They also gave great recommendations for places to eat including a deli on 63 Trastevere Street which has the best pizza and bruschetta we ever had.
The room is very clean, modern and big. The bathroom is also clean, modern and big. They have big closets and enough room to move around.
Food: We had dinner and drinks on the rooftop and the staff were very professional and friendly. The food was great. During drinks they gave us some appetizers to go with our drink. The food was fabulous. They offered us a 3 course dinner which was fabulous. Make sure to get recommendations from the concierge for restaurants. They sent us to Piperno's which is in the Jewish Ghetto and had a fabulous meal there. They won't steer you wrong. Breakfast was fantastic. They had caprese salad, fresh ham and salami, fruit, pastries and they also had American breakfast of eggs, sausage and bacon which we didn't touch because of the other fresh selection. They also have the best cappuccino and we had several all over Rome and their's is still the best.
The hotel is close to the coliseum and bus stop. The location is also nice because it is far from the bustle of tourists and people. The last thing you want is a noisy hotel with too much foot traffic.
If we go back to Rome, we will definitely stay there again. To the staff of Hotel Fortyseven, please keep on doing a great job and we recommend to anyone visiting Rome to stay at your hotel. You guys are fantastic.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was difficult to select a hotel that was not outrageously expensive, centrally located, and with comfortable accommodations. Hotel Forty-Seven did not disappoint!! The room was modern, clean, spacious, with a king size bed and excellent shower/bathroom. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was very good. The hotel staff were very friendly and even provided small gifts for our two children who were not with us. We had dinner on their rooftop restaurant which was part of our package. It was one of the best meals we had in Rome with a nice view as well. The location was a bit away from the center of town but near Travasterre for good restaurants and not too far from the Colloseum. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!! (My boyfrriend also proposed to me on this trip - very romantic!!)

LOCATION: Good location. Close to Forum and Colosseum. Rome is a huge city, so you need public transportation to get around. The hotel has a bus stop just meters away from the front door.

ROOM: Large and spacious room. Very clean and modern. Comfortable beds. Clean bathrooms. Good amenities. Shutters helped block out all sunlight. Shutters were able to reduce some street noise.

STAFF: Very Friendly! Knowledgeable about city and sites.

HOTEL: The hotel is kept up very well. Public areas are clean and modern. Only complaint would be poor insulation between rooms. We could hear our neighbors talking.

CITY: Rome is wonderful! Must appreciate ancient sites. It's good to get lost in areas away from the main sites. That way you appreciate how Romans live today.

FOOD/DINING: Roof top restaurant offers a great view of the ruins across the street. Food is fantastic! Breakfast, which was included in our rate, was also good and filling before a busy day.

We stayed at Hotel 47 for the first stop on our honeymoon. Rome hotels tend to be pricey so this one was a good compromise - stylish, clean, good food and our perfect location. We could walk into the city centre or Trastevere easily for something to eat. It was right on the edge of the Forum. The staff were friendly but best of all was the breakfast - we stocked up in the morning and didn't need anything till night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely recommend it.
