LOCATION: Good location. Close to Forum and Colosseum. Rome is a huge city, so you need public transportation to get around. The hotel has a bus stop just meters away from the front door.

ROOM: Large and spacious room. Very clean and modern. Comfortable beds. Clean bathrooms. Good amenities. Shutters helped block out all sunlight. Shutters were able to reduce some street noise.

STAFF: Very Friendly! Knowledgeable about city and sites.

HOTEL: The hotel is kept up very well. Public areas are clean and modern. Only complaint would be poor insulation between rooms. We could hear our neighbors talking.

CITY: Rome is wonderful! Must appreciate ancient sites. It's good to get lost in areas away from the main sites. That way you appreciate how Romans live today.

FOOD/DINING: Roof top restaurant offers a great view of the ruins across the street. Food is fantastic! Breakfast, which was included in our rate, was also good and filling before a busy day.

We stayed at Hotel 47 for the first stop on our honeymoon. Rome hotels tend to be pricey so this one was a good compromise - stylish, clean, good food and our perfect location. We could walk into the city centre or Trastevere easily for something to eat. It was right on the edge of the Forum. The staff were friendly but best of all was the breakfast - we stocked up in the morning and didn't need anything till night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely recommend it.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised to see that there was not a normal entrance, but two glass desks with hip chairs for customers. The approach of the team is very relaxed, and everybody is always helpfull. The breakfast was good, and the restaurant at the roof is great, We loved the champagne, and the snacks they provide as a surprise.

The location is excellent, when you love history. It's in between the capitol, the aventijn, forum romanum. When i looked out of my window there were two temples. I would advice to visit the restaurant at the isola tiberini. It will surprise you, and is a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Fortyseven Hotel the end of May. We decided on this hotel due to the great reviews on Expedia and TripAdvisor. The hotel did not disappoint. The hotel staff service was excellent and so was the location. We were able to walk to all of the local attractions within 5 to 20 minutes (except for the Vatican). The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with giving us directions, tips for good restaurants in the area and answering all of our questions. The rooms are very modern and chic. The free breakfast buffet was above average. As for dinner and drinks, we walked 3 minutes across the river to Trastevere every night. There are numerous dining spots in this area. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed for 2 nights in May and were quite pleased with our choice. The hotel is well situated...a 10-30 minute walk to all of the major sights. The rooms are modern, chic, clean, and spacious. Breakfast buffet is generous, offering a great selection of both American and Italian options. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant one of the nights and were not disappointed. The food and wine selection was good, view was amazing, and the staff was attentive. Our only minor complaint was in terms of the inconsistent service from the front desk staff. Some were very friendly and helpful and some not so much.

All and all...a great place that we would not hesitate to recommend to others.
