Interior decor: minimalist design, clean lines, elegant, boutique atmosphere.
Location: one of the best locations for a hotel in Rome? superb in this respect.
Staff: extremely efficient and helpful. No complaints there.
Food: expensive and not to a very high standard as you would expect for the price (much in common with many restaurants in Rome) although the terrace setting is spectacular.
Breakfast: excellent start to the day, delicious.
Rooms: clean, well-equipped, no views (not such a problem in a city like Rome where you will spend a lot of time outside of your room) and no sound insulation. I was in room 104 and could hear noise from above and next door. Conversations could be heard clearly and moving chairs/furniture caused great disturbance during the night. Light sleepers should take this into serious consideration when selecting this hotel should they wish to have privacy and quiet. That such a great hotel could be spoilt by such a fundamental design fault is a great pity. Of course, floors on higher rooms may not be so badly affected.
Terrace bar: great setting and a definite bonus.
So, overall a great hotel with a lot going for it, particularly the location which is extremely convenient, but spoiled by a basic design fault.
