This is a nice, quiet, clean, safe, conveniently located hotel with excellent staff who speak English well. We booked room 508 for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. It has a small balcony and is a fair sized room for Italy. Yes the shower was tight but was clean and worked well. The price was reasonable for Italy.. We arrived at 12 noon, a little early to check in. The front desk securely held our baggage and suggested we walk across to the Golden Peach which had an outdoor cafe for a lunch and said the room would be ready when we returned. By 1pm it was ready with a bottle of champagne as well. We were so tired next day we slept in past 10am and they so kindly brought a breakfast up to our room to accomodate us. They had guide books to borrow in the front lobby and readily helped us with directions. This hotel is two streets over from jumping on the red double decker tour bus (which you must ride -48 hour ticket) that takes you everywhere and a walkable distance from Termini Station which you will need to go to the Vatican. We have no problem recommending Raffaello!

we found the location of the hotel very good, because we could reach walking all the important monuments. very friendly staff, good breakfast buffet and nice and quiet room. for a longer stay the rooms would be too small, but for three days ok.
we can recommend this hotel and we would come again.

My husband and I spent 4 nights of our honeymoon here. When we arrived the staff was very friendly (spoke great English, a plus!) and minutes within walking into our room a staff member showed up with complimentary champagne! The rooms are small as well as the shower but the size was not a big deal to us since we basically just slept and showered there. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was good. Great location in Rome. Walking distance to coliseum, forum, spanish steps, trevi fountain, etc. We enjoyed our nightly walks for some gelato! Tours picked us up at the hotel which was very convenient. We never took a taxi accept to the airport. We had a great time! I love you babe!

Very pleasant stay in this friendly hotel. The rooms were nicely decorated and kept very clean. The staff spoke very good English which helped. We found the hotel well situated to reach most of the sights in the city. We enjoyed the Bathsof Carracella which were in walking distance and weren't as crowded as other places. The roads were a nightmare though, do take care. Very good restaurant nearby, called Unicum with a pianist playing in the doorway next to a big model dog! Across the road is a great gelateria at good prices. Food generally is very expensive with the poor exchange rate...and also drink. 6 euros for a small beer!
We couldn't fault the hotel however. Would recommend it. The breakfasts were excellent and kept us going through to the evening. Lots of choice.
