My husband and I stayed at Hotel Raffaello for three nights in mid October. We choose this hotel for price and by reading reviews on Trip Advisor and other sites.
We were very happy with the choice!! This is not a 4/5 star hotel but the staff is efficient, accomodating and helpful. The lobby and breakfast room are very nice. The rooms are on the small side but are very clean and well decorated. Unless you want the ammenities of a 4/5 star property...restaurant, bar or fitness center, this is a great property to chose!
We really enjoyed the buffet breakfasts...a wide selection and everything was fresh and tasty. They have pastries, fruit, hard cooked and scrambled eggs, jams, butter , toast, yogurts, meats and cheeses and pretty good coffee!
Some information we read suggested that Hotel Raffaello is walking distance from the Termini Station...which it is....but not with luggage! We took a cab!
However, once we settled into our room, we walked everywhere...to the Coloseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and much more. We took a tour and bus to the Vatican.
Regarding the neighborhood, we felt very safe walking in the area! We found a nice coffee shop and several good restaurants nearby.
We would highly recommend this property for location, value and cleanliness for your stay in Rome!!
