“Perfect! Great Staff and Central Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2011

Oh My God! I couldn't wish for a more pleasant staying in Rome.
Me and my boyfriend are in our early twenties, and we were looking for a hotel that will be comfortable and centered but wont be too expensive - and we've found Raffaello. Our room was so nice and clean and the design was antique as we like, and we had a great shower and a spacious bathroom with everything we needed! We also had a safe - it was really important to us, but the only thing that disturbed us - the double bed was actually made of two single beds.
The staff was great and arranged us a visit to a terrace bar above the pantheon the other night that is usually opened only for "albergo del senato" hotel guests only, and when we also stored our luggages the last day for free in the hotel (our flight was at night!) the wi-fi was cheap (25 euros for all week long), and the most important thing - the breakfast was amazing - from cappuccino, to toasted bread, ham, cheese, jam, cereals, eggs, juices etc.....WOW!! there's also an espresso machine and laundry service there, also - the hotel was 5 minutes from the TERMINI metro, bus and train station so it made the trip so comfortable and fun for us....HOPE YOU'LL CHOOSE THE SAME - IT'S REALLY WORTH IT.

Room Tip: a standard room is enough - you won't spend the day in the room anyway!

Actual hotel hotel (as opposed to a few rooms in a building) a 15-minute walk or short cab ride away from Termini station. Very helpful front desk (made reservations, checked flight with Alitalia). Large breakfast spread. Small but luxurious-feeling bedroom & bathrooms.

We spent 2 nights here prior to a cruise. Loved this hotel. They had transporation at the airport to pick us up. Very reasonable price. Held our bags until we were able to get our rooms. The room was very clean and comfortable. We slept well. It was very quiet - heard no noise at all. Bathroom seemed bigger than I expected. The shower was tiny for my larger built but it was fine. The hotel provided a lovely breakfast in the morning. I can't say enough about this place. We were able to walk to where we wanted to go and catch the hop on/hop off bus to get further. When we checked out the hotel had made arrangements with the same transportation company to get us to the port. This company had a license to get right to the cruise ship. Many do not and then you need to take a shuttle to the ship. I see below there is a question about parking. There is no parking and if you do park close to the hotel you will receive a ticket. No spa or pool but I believe they have a sister place where you are able to use the exercise room. Not sure though.

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 night stay in Rome. We contacted the hotel in advance and were lucky enough to be given a room on the top floor with a terrace.
The hotel is fabulously situated within walking distance of just about everything Rome has to offer, including the Vatican if you are fit and willing! We did not use any public transport during our stay, but our feet were sore by the end of each day.
The hotel is comfortable rather than splendid but the price we paid was for 3 stars not 5. The rooms are well appointed without being spectacular and whilst the shower unit could have been bigger it was fantastic after a hot day exploring this wonderful city.
Breakfast was excellent although some more expensive hotels may offer a wider choice.
Eduardo and Francesca on the front desk are the main reason that we had such a special stay (thanks, guys!) giving us great advice and help whenever required, in fluent English and with a smile.
We loved Rome, and this hotel is a great place to stay if you want great value and appreciate great service from great people.
Enjoy.

Room Tip: Liase before you go.

The location is superb. It's near Roma Termini station and near the main streets; Via Nazionale and Via Cavour which both have many bus stops. The hotel is also a walking distance to the Colosseum.

The breakfast meal is very good and has a very good variety. I also like the decoration of the halls and room; classic and elegance. The neighborhood is very safe at night.

The rooms are clean and spacious unlike most European hotels. The staff is very friendly and they helped us many times on the best route to take to visit different places.

Overall... I will definitely stay there whenever I am in Rome for a city trip.

As a seasoned business traveller I wanted to find somewhere special for myself and my fiancee to celebrate her 30th birthday. This hotel was reccomended to me and certainly didn't disappoint!!
Eduardo was a fantastic concierge/receptionist and couldn't do enough for us, the room was great (although fabric walls take a bit of getting used to!) and on top of all this the location was perfect, with the roman forum & Colusseum round the corner. Also, you can gain access to it's sister hotel next to the Pantheon, which boast one of the few rooftop terraces in Rome, great place to celebrate getting engaged whilst the sun goes down.
A hint if considering this hotel - visit the Tema restaurant round the corner if you can, really really nice.

Room Tip: Liaise with Eduardo before you travel
