“Convenient location; very helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

We stayed with our daughter and her family for two nights in mid June and found the Inn to be all that reviewers have said it is. The staff was very accommodating with helpful suggestions regarding restaurants, sight seeing walks, etc.. The breakfast was splendid. It was quite warm while we were in Rome, and we were thankful for the location near the obligatory sights and the metro station for our trip to the Colosseum.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

We stayed 4 nights in late June 2013 with another couple and found the accomodations perfect for our needs. Service was superb, even before we arrived. Alyssa and Andrea answered all our questions in detail before we arrived and arranged for transportation from Fiumicino Airport, as well as a semi-private "skip-the-line" tour of the Vatican (through Romexperiences), before we departed the US. Claudio greeted us after hours when we arrived and got us settled in the two wonderful 4th floor rooms with private baths. Carlos made sure we secured a taxi for our trip to the Vatican and actually walked us out to the taxi to make sure the driver understood where we needed to go at an early hour. When my brother-in-law forgot his key in his room and potentially faced a locked-out situation, Carlos had stayed late and was available to assist.

Breakfast provided a good variety and selection of continental options. Ellen provided great service in setting up breakfast each morning and having everything ready. She even made us "bag breakfasts" the night before for the early morning departure on the morning of our Vatican tour. Again, just great service!

Claudio gave us a recommendation for a restaurant on Vicolo Scanderbeg (Piccolo Arancio) that was superb! We liked it so much, we went back a second time to enjoy before we left Rome.

As others have said, the location is very convenient, within walking distance of all the major sites and metro. We even walked to the train station one morning for our trip to Pompeii.

All in all, we could not imagine a better stay in Rome, thanks to the staff and accomodations at Daphne Veneto!

Room Tip: 4th floor rooms are on the same level as the dining area for breakfast, but we did not notice any un...

Found this boutique hotel on Internet, and are so pleased with our stay. We spent 5 nights here and highly recommend the Daphne Inn. Location is near major sites and within walking distance to restaurants, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and much more. Rooms are nice with new, comfortable mattresses and great pillows. Breakfast is included, and everything is modern and clean. Best part of stay is the incredible staff, who go above and beyond the norm with advice, assistance, and will do just about anything to help. All of their restaurant recommendations were great, and they know little out of the way (and often, inexpensive) restaurants away from the tourist areas. Owner has a feel for hiring the best front desk personnel -- multi-lingual and savvy to your needs. Carlos helped us send an important letter to China, Claudio returned a key to another hotel in Venice, and Lucca offered smiling help with just about everything. Can't say enough about the staff -- who make the hotel wonderful.

Room Tip: Elevator is really small -- ask for a room on a lower floor.

Nice, modern accomodations, first rate staff in a great location all make Daphane a great value. Staff provided outstanding recommendations for resturants and sightseeing. Metro is 200m from Daphane front door. Nice breakfast is included. We'd recommend Daphane to family and friends and would definitely stay there again. Daphane can arrange private taxi from airport to hotel. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Room on first floor was quiet and shared a small salon with computer, a nice convienence.

The Daphne Veneto is a wonderful boutique hotel located in a convenient section of Rome, just off the Piazza Barberini. A short walk will take you to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese, Pantheon and many of the rest of Rome's top destinations. For the business traveler, the Metro is steps away and many higher end tourist hotels and government offices.

The breakfast offerings are perfect, the rooms spacious, modern, clean and comfortable.

Without a doubt the best part of a stay at Daphne Veneto is the staff. Each and every staff member makes you feel not only welcome but at home. This begins from the moment you confirm your reservation! They will offer restaurant recommendations, thorough directions, and friendly assistance with the Italian language (if you ask!). In short, I felt as though I was staying with great friends in Rome who just happen to have boutique quality accommodation.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Conveniently located within walking distance of Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese, Spanish Steps, and more. Half a block from the Barberini subway stop. Very clean and modern hotel rooms. Nice breakfast included. The staff here was so, so helpful. They gave us great restaurant recommendations, helped us map out our self-guided walking tour of the city, and helped us get museum reservations. Would highly recommend.

Can't say enough good things about our stay at both the Veneto and Trevi locations!! Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, rooms very clean( loved the in-room coffee and tea!), free wi-fi and use of an international phone, elevators, and hearty breakfast. Can't imagine you can get so much for such reasonable prices anywhere else in Rome! Taxi, bus and metro stops just steps away on the square..so convenient!
