I stayed here for 8 nights and was very happy with every aspect of the hotel.
Location: It's easy to find and to get to from the airport (get the Da Vinci express to Termini and then the A line metro to Ottaviano and it's a 5 minute walk away). The Vatican is only a couple of minutes away so you can get there at the quieter times very easily. With the metro so close, it's very easy to get to all the sights in Rome. You are also a very short walk away from Via cola di rienzo which is the big shopping street in the area.

The room: It wasn't huge but was perfectly clean and comfortable; ours looked out over the Via Dei Gracci so with the window open it could be a bit noisy, but you couldn't hear anything when it was shut. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was fine.

The Staff: The manager, Samuel and the rest of the staff were always very helpful and friendly.

The Breakfast: Was served in the cafe which doubles as reception and included excellent coffee, rolls, pastries, cereal, fruit and yoghurt. It was absolutely delicious and perfect for giving you the energy for a long day's sightseeing.

We stayed 3 nights here in our recent visit to Rome. Convenient location 3 blocks from metro and short walk from Vatican. Spacious and clean room, excellent service. Highly recommended.

Our third stay at Chambres D'Or, and even better than before! We now love this hotel for four reasons:

First, the rooms are VERY spacious by European standards. Our usual triple( with jacuzzi) was taken, so we got a quadruple room. We have been fortunate enough to stay at roughly 15 different hotels in Europe and Africa over the past several years, and this room is by far the largest.

Second, location,location, location. Walk to the end of the block, and you see the wall of the Vatican. The nearby square, Piazza Risorgimento, has easy cab and bus access to the rest of the city.

Third, and most important, the staff is SPECTACULAR!! We now feel like members of the family, and Sam, Vita, and Allessandro will always make sure you are on the right train or bus.

Fourth, and newest, there is now Wi-fi in the rooms! I can write this review sitting at my window while still here.

We love this hotel, and I wish everyone involved all success and happiness. Thanks for all your help!
