Hotel Adler was perfect for our week's stay in Rome. It is a well kept small hotel on the second level of a building and there is an elevator. The reception area is on the second level but there are rooms on both the second and third floor. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable and gave good suggestions for restaurants and made reservations at various attractions for us. The room was nice and clean and comfortable. The price was good for Rome. The breakfast that was included in the price had a lot of variety and the setting was very nice. Internet is available....just ask the person at reception for your code and password. We found the hotel in Rick Steves Travel Book and we enjoyed it very much. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. You can make reservations online and Alessandro will respond promptly. It was a very nice experience.

We chose Hotel Adler as our last stop before returning to the USA because of past reviews in TripAdvisor, by Rick Steves, and the recommendation of our daughter and son-in-law who stayed there last year. It was well-located near the Roma Termini and the commercial hub, Piazza della Repubblica. With our room not ready, we followed the front desk's recommendation of Trattoria Barocco around the corner where we were served one of the best tasting pizzas. The Ministry of Defense was across the street, attracting a regular crowd in smart uniforms. Perhaps our best dinner in Italy was at La Matriciana, directly across the Opera House. Also in walking distance were the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.
The B & B was located in an ordinary looking building which housed other businesses including other B & Bs. The elevator opened to the small lobby. Our room was not large but not cramped. Up one floor was free access to the internet, but with one station, it was busily in use. The requested wake-up call did not materialize, but we did receive our packaged continental breakfasts to take along to the airport. We were very pleased with romeshuttlelimousine.com which booked a transfer for only 35E with luggage.
Because Rome can be so distracting, any problems with the hotel were hardly noticeable. We found this hotel acceptable.

I found Hotel Adler through Rick Steve's Rome 2009 travel guide. I only had a couple weeks to find a hotel and most other hotels were booked. I first contacted the hotel by e-mail and received a prompt response. I booked a room and am glad I did. The cost of my room with two double beds was only 110 Euros a night, and that included breakfast. The location is perfect and only a block away from the Repubblica metro and bus stops. The staff was great, especially Bruno; everyone was very kind and helpful.

The room we stayed in was probaby the smallest one they had (but you don't go to Rome to stay in your hotel room) and the bathroom was a little cramped, but for ~110-150 euros a night in the heart of Rome (with breakfast) is hard to beat.

I was pleasantly surprised - the hotel area and room was so much cuter and modern than depicted in the on-line photos. We had hard wood floors, a big beautiful window overlooking our street, and a clean upgraded bathroom. However, it was the sincere and super kind welcome given by Bruno that made our short visit to the hotel truly memorable! We had a great Spring afternoon of big glasses of wine and appetizers on the tranquil outside terrace (where breakfast is served in the morning) and Bruno helped us arrange our dinner plans and departure travel. I really loved hotel Adler - and would definitely stay here if ever I'm so lucky to find myself in Rome again.

Just returned from Rome and the Hotel Adler. It was very nice and clean but there was a lot of traffic and hallway noise. They also forgot my wakeup call at 3am, luckily I carry a clock for such occasions. Free computer was nice and it is convenient for walking everywhere. The best capuccino I have ever had in the breakfast room.
