arrived midday to find no help from staff. building work all around hotel including outside our room.half of stair cases had carpet removed making stairs dangerous.no air conditioning or facilites in room..was supposed to be triple share but was a small double with extra bed in ..no room to move .robe was unstable and unusable .shower area was dangerous and ill equiped shower head hanging off.floors slippery and dangerous.we being the older generation would expected more.no phone available..graffetee everyware streets outside filthy and rubbish and muck everywere lift in hotel was intermitant with use.
discusting never again will i think of rome as a pleasant city.

got back from rome last sunday, we stayed at the parker hotel, took us about 20 mins to walk from the termini train station, theres grafitti everywhere u go in this part of rome. staff are friendly, rooms cleaned everyday, nice but basic, sky tv but only 1 channel CNN. Rome is amazing, and this is a good location because termini is the main station and you can go everywhere without having to get off and change trains or tram.

When we made a booking, main thing was that the hotel has AIR CONDITIONING and Hotel Parker was supposed to have it (I assume that air conditioning means that it is available 24/7). Well, first night was quite okay, but after that air conditioning was working few hours at the time. Complaining didn´t help at all...I don´t know if they wanted to save some money, but it was staffs decision every time to turn off the air conditioning. For me it is the same thing as breaking our deal, I am expecting to have what is promised.
At least hotel should state on their web site that customer will have AC only once and a while. Also minibar was totally missing from the rooms.

For me as a frequent traveller this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed.

After sleepless night and 14 hours on the road (flight from New York to Rome, etc) we came to the Parker to be told that our hotel vouchers are no good, they have no clue who our travel arrangers are and they don't have any reservation for us. Wellcome to your vacation!

Apparently reservations/front desk manager did not bother to read our voucher carefully enough, nor to make a proper reservation she supposed to (our travel agent booked us through an intermediate agent she later recognized). And it was written right there on the vaucher!

Anyway, it took me 30 minutes to clarify our situation with the front desk manager, learn some Albanian (native language of the front desk staff) and made them finally accept us (with no apologies for the stress whatsoever).

Rooms are small, but clean and cleaning service is really good.

Unfortunately we had to sleep with our heads by the wall separating us from the next room's lavatory. Soundproofing of this hotel ----- bad. By next morning I became aware of not just local tram (street car) and Termini's train schedule but also of digestive system problems of the nice old ladies staying next door .

Needles to say that we did not get a scheduled wake-up call on the morning of our departure.
