My partner and I just got back from Rome where we stayed at the Parker Hotel for 3 nights. The Hotel is smart, and spotlessly clean. Our beds were made every day! Some of the staff do appear to be rude or abrupt but I think this may be a "language barrier lack of confidence thing". On the whole they were ok. Our rooms were fairly spacious and the bathroom was 4 star. On the downside - it was fairly noisy from the trams passing by in the street right outside, and other train noise from the main Termini station, which is not too far away. Beds were a little too hard for me personally but my partner was snoring within minutes!! :-) We thoroughly enjoyed Rome and all it has to offer though and I would recommend this hotel if you are not a light sleeper (like me!) Just be aware - most restaurants have prices outside so read before you go in. We got "ripped off" bigstyle at a snack bar near the Trevi Fountain!! The nearer you are to a "monument" or place of interest - the prices seem a lot higher! AND you MUST do the Vatican - its amazing!!!

We recently stayed at the Hotel Parker for a week and found it catered for all of our needs. The rooms were cleaned everyday and unlike other travellers reviews we had full control of the air conditioning in our room. The hotel is in a good location with many places to eat in the surrounding area, although some may find the walk to some of the main tourist attractions a little long.
The only fault we could find is that some members of the staff can come across as being rude, possibly due to the limited understanding of English.
Overall, we feel this hotel is ideal for those on a smaller budget and although small, offered everything we needed for a great week in Rome.

arrived midday to find no help from staff. building work all around hotel including outside our room.half of stair cases had carpet removed making stairs dangerous.no air conditioning or facilites in room..was supposed to be triple share but was a small double with extra bed in ..no room to move .robe was unstable and unusable .shower area was dangerous and ill equiped shower head hanging off.floors slippery and dangerous.we being the older generation would expected more.no phone available..graffetee everyware streets outside filthy and rubbish and muck everywere lift in hotel was intermitant with use.
discusting never again will i think of rome as a pleasant city.

got back from rome last sunday, we stayed at the parker hotel, took us about 20 mins to walk from the termini train station, theres grafitti everywhere u go in this part of rome. staff are friendly, rooms cleaned everyday, nice but basic, sky tv but only 1 channel CNN. Rome is amazing, and this is a good location because termini is the main station and you can go everywhere without having to get off and change trains or tram.
