My mother and I stayed here in mid August. The hotel is in close proximity to the Termini stations and also within walking distance to most monuments. As previously mentioned, be aware that you will have to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to the reception desk.
The people at the front desk were welcoming and we were able to check into the room 2 hours early.
The room was a a good size for Europe and also clean (room 506). The room opened onto Via Principe Amedeo and was very noise at night. This would have been overcome with air coniditioning but our room did not have any which in 40 degree heat was not tollerable at night.
The bathroom was small (as are all bathrooms in Europe), but was clean which is ulimately what you want. The shower was very small and you turned the tap off each time you turned around in the shower.
Breakfast was what we expected (and were not disappointed) - breads, meats, cheese, yoghurts, etc......
All in all a very basic, clean hotel (at the lower end of the 3 star rating). I would definately request a room with air conditioning.

Good location, near the Termini Station, easy to find, a good starting point for the Roma sight visiting, well equipped room with air-conditioning, small fridge, clean, good value for money, but the lift always out of order in the morning. the breakfast is OK.

The Milo is a typical hotel for the area close to Rome's Termini Station. It occupies a few separate floors of a larger building that houses several other hotels. The location is ideal for tourists. You might not find the surrounding streets particularly welcoming late at night but the Milo is actually quite close to the station and we never felt unsafe. It is not suitable for the disabled as you have to climb one flight of stairs to get to the lift. Reading other reviews I feel that other people's experience in hotels is usually coloured by which room they got allocated, coupled with possibly expecting a lot more than they actually paid for. In the same way as when you book an airline seat you don't know that there are several hidden classes of 'economy' or 'coach' seat; people who pay more or who have bought the more flexible tickets will always get offered better seats on the plane even though it's all technically economy class. My friend and I paid full price and were allocated a room on the very top floor of the Milo and the room was quiet, clean, comfortable and had air conditioning and a small fridge. The continental style buffet breakfast, available in the room behind Reception was good with the exception of the fruit juice which in my experience is never very good quality in any of these places. If you can't afford to eat out every night in Rome then buy food in the big supermarket at the far end of the lower shopping area of Termini station and bring it back to the room. The Milo's staff were helpful and friendly and I felt we had good value for money. They do have wi-fi Internet but the signal is patchy and it was one of the drawbacks of being on the top floor, we had to take the laptop down to the 5th floor corridor to get a signal.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a map and advised us on restaurants, transport and things to see. The room was large, quiet, warm, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good but the breakfast lady was abrupt and rude. Hotel Milo is close to station and shops, restaurants and cafes. All the main tourist spots were in walking distance. So immerse yourself in Italian food and culture. We were on the 5th floor and there was a lift which ran only between floors 2 and 4 - quaint.

I stayed at hotel Milo for 2 nights and overall my stay was satisfactory. The hotel itself is basic and is located in a building which includes other 3 hotels. What is really good about this hotel is the rooms, they are not so small and are really clean with a very clean shower; however, you can hear a bit of noise from the streets, but frankly this was no problem for me. On the other side, the breakfast was poor, I skipped it on the second day and went to one of the nearby nice cafes.
The location of the hotel is good (although the area is not the nicest in Rome) in terms that it is very close to all major transportation (main bus & train stations) which can take you to anywhere in the city at any time, but it is a bit far from the center which means that you can not walk to one of the famous piazzas.
Overall, my stay was satisfactory as I was not expecting more from the hotel.
