We were at Hotel Acropoli for one week in the last week of April. It was a schooltrip.
We were with 5 persons and we had the largest room. Others, whit 4 persons, slept on a 2-persons room!!!!
In the bathroom there was missing a shower-curtain, towels and the water is flooding.
The most of the beds were ok, and the reception was the most beautiful thing of this hotel!

So don't go to this hotel!!!

DONT GO THERE!! This is the worst hotel where I stayed worldwide. Walls are yellow of oldness, beds are for kids. During my stay I had NO HOT WATER !!!!! and sometimes no water and electricity at all. Perhaps it is a not so expensive hotel but the price dont fit with the rooms. AVOID THIS HOTEL!!

This hotel was one of the worst hotels I stayed in while in Italy. For the price we paid, "we did not get what we paid for". The lobby area is very deceiving as to how the rooms are really like. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Given the reviews I read on Hotel Acropoli here before I went there I was not sure what to expect on arrival. I was afraid I would find a noisy and dirty hotel. Luckily I had a good time in this hotel.
There was indeed a number of large groups of students or schoolkids when we were there. It was sometimes noisy in the evening, but never at night/after 11pm.
Our room was at the back of the hotel so we did not have streetnoise.
Sure, the hotel looks a bit old and shabby, but the sheets were clean, beds were made every day, there was a big window in the room, and most importantly: the bathroom was clean and the shower was fine.
Okay, the bathroom floor was wet after showering (but we asked an extra towel and dried the floor with it), and yes, breakfast was not too much (but that is the Italian breakfast: coffee and some small piece of bread, at least you had something in your stomach at the start of the day), no, there was no tv or telephone in the room.. BUT, it is a cheap hotel and the location is great, so what else do you want? All hotels in Rome are expensive, so i think this is a good deal. I would recommend it.

This is one of the cheapest hotels in Rome, so we didn't expect much, but it was great. It is very very close to Termini station and very close to the Old Centre, with the Colloseum etc. Every night we walked in about 20 minutes to the Trevi fountain and it was very safe. The hotel staff is very friendly and are very willingly to give information. There is an elevator, but its very cramped, only 4 persons can fit in it, but if you're lucky, like us, you'll get a room on the first floor. The hotel shares its facilities with the hotel next to it, but this doesn't cause any troubles. The room was very comfortable with airconditioning and a small but proper bathroom. I do think the room could have been slightly cleaner, though it is cleaned every day. It was rather disappointing that you can't have any alcohol inside the hotel, they are really strict about this. The breakfast was very simple and it was not a lot, but I guess that something you have to accept when paying so little. What I thought was a plus point, is that they have fending machines in the hall with soda, coffee and tea for only 50 cents. We were very pleased with this hotel and would stay there again when going to Rome!
