Had 3 nights at the hotel. Room was very small and basic, but sheets were clean and bathroom OK. Very noisy at night because of many groups of students. Breakfast very basic, but OK. All in all value for money with pretty good location near to Termini and 1 km to Colosseum.

Security seems OK with cameras. Found a digi-camera in drawer from a previous guest - returned it at reception.

The location of this hotel couldn't be better. The room itself was scarey. Wouldn't reccomend for single women or group of women. The doors seemed like they could have been knocked down by a gust of wind. We stayed in the room with 7 beds and nothing else. When we left for the day we came back and the furniture was rearranged and they moved in a dresser in front of the closet. This hotel is not bad if you were like us and just slept there, we spent less than 12 hours in the hotel in 2 days. Wouldnt stay there again, I will end up spending a couple more dollars and stay some place with a safer feeling.

I think that the hotel must have been improved since these reviews as this hotel was more then satisfactory. Cheap and in a brilliant location. Room had what you needed considering your in Rome so shouldnt really be spending too much time stuck in your hotel room! Was clean, hot shower, staff were friendly and in a brilliant location near to termini station! We will defintly be using this place again :)

  • Liked — they let us check in early and the location
  • Disliked — n/a

We booked through a local travel agent, but this place is totally appalling. In short, it stank, was noisy, furniture was broken, but most of all, it was unsafe. The bricks around the door frame were loose - it had obviously been broken in to before. There's no air conditioning of any description, but we dared not open the windows due to security issues.
The lobby area is shared with another 'hotel' located on other floors of the building and featured some suspicious characters.
The shower (calling it a "shower" is being nice) was a serious of undirected single spurts of water coming out at different directions!

Needless to say, we couldn't sleep that night and left the next morning. We called our travel agent to tell them about this appalling experience and they (the agent) gave us a refund for the second night - I'm not sure if the hotel would have given the agent a refund, but somehow I doubt it.

For the same price (130 euro) we moved to a much better place called Hotel Aberdeen, which was nearby (also close to Termini station).

There were 4 of us staying in the room. We were at the front of the hotel with NO AIR CONDITIONING on a street where apparently no one sleeps, ever. There were cable cars going by and vespas at all hours. It was impossible to sleep. We requested to be moved to a room at the back of the hotel which was infinitely quieter. It was still a dive. The bathroom was tiny and the "shower curtain" was more trouble than help. The bathroom floor flooded. I had read other reviews before I left (unfortunately too late to change my hotel) and had brought towels from home which were a lifesaver. You had to be in by 1 am or they would lock you out of the hotel. Breakfast was a joke of hard rolls and coffee. If you want any kind of concierge service whatsoever, do not stay there. Basically do not stay there unless you are looking for a hostel because essentially, that is what it is.

  • Liked — It was close to the train station
  • Disliked — everything else
