Found this in Sawday's Guide of special places to stay in Italy. Booked over the Internet which was a breeze and came with a discount. On arrival it was somewhat strange to walk into the rather dark hallway of an old palazzo and have to make one's way up to the 2nd floor. But once in the door of the Residenze it is all brightness and beautifully appointed. We were met by Rozanna who was a truly lovely hostess - most welcoming and helpful and speaking with impeccable English. We were shown to our room - Gaia - which was lovely and spacious with all modern amenities including flat screen TV, free safe (important in Rome from previous experience of having had stuff stolen from an hotel room), and a bathroom with top class fittings and plumbing that was highly functional (again not universally available in Rome). After settling in our room Rosanna gave us a very useful briefing on what was what in Rome, how to get about, and some tips on getting best value (e.g. recommending the Roma pass) .
Breakfast was served in the room and was generally very good although the coffee wasn't great (too strong in the americano version, cold and bitter in the espresso version). That said the teas offered were excellent including Earl Grey and Lady Grey. Orange juice, too, was excellent and a good large glass of same.
The location was superb for seeing the sights of ancient Rome (Forum and Colosseum). There is an excellent wine bar across the street - 313 Cavour.
Could be seen as a bit pricey for what is more of an upper class B&B rather than an hotel as such. But the amenities were excellent and the place and staff ooze charm. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

A very friendly welcome by English speaking staff who took time to explain the tourist attractions and how to use the public transport system and how to get around generally. The accommodation was not cramped and our room was well looked after each day. The continental breakfast each day was good and the hotel was situated close to the Colosseium and The Forum together with the metro station and bus stops. There were plenty of restaurants close by and free internet use in the hotel reception. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

We spent four days in Rome before embarking on a cruise. After reading Trip Advisors we made a reservation at Caesar House Hotel. When we pulled up to the building, the exterior of the building was very non-discript. In fact, if you're not careful, you could easily drive right by it. That being said, we off loaded our luggage, went into a very bland lobby. At this point, I was concerned that this hotel experience was not going to be a good one!! We took the two person elevator upstairs and were warmly greeted by Youni. We checked in and went to our very spacious room, which from my experience is very unusual for Europe. The room was decorated eclectically, but it was very comfortable, and the bathroom was immaculate and very modern. We were a very short block across from the Roman Forum. Youni was a gracious host, concierge, and is a wealth of information regarding the many wonderful points of interest that Rome has to offer. My wife and i stayed at this hotel because it was very close to the Colesium and other Roman sites of interest. We really enjoyed our stay in Rome and the hotel staff were very helpful in making sure we were well informed about the various places that we visited. We really enjoyed having breakfast brought to our room daily. Rosana at hotel desk was specailly helpful. We hope to visit Rome again and will stay at Ceasar.
