We ended up here courtesy of the Hotel Abitart, which did not honour our booking. That said, we consider ourselves lucky as the hotel was great. Nice, comfortable rooms and bathroom.

Excellent breakfasts (make sure you get there before 10am to take full advantage) - the cakes/tarts are particularly good.

The location is near the Olympic stadium and Flaminio - the actual road the hotel is on is pretty trendy and there are some good bars and cafes here. Easy to get into town: the bus at the junction of the road takes you to Mancini and from there it's a tram to Popolo.

We spent our 30th wedding anniversary at this beautiful hotel. I cannot overpraise it. The room we got was actually a suite - and what a suite! Beautifully decorated, marble floors, bathroom immaculaty clean, beds wonderful, air conditioned perfectly. And it is very quiet -- no outside noise, no early morning cleaning staff noises, etc. The desk staff was very pleasant and helpful and spoke very good English. This hotel is a great buy. We would come back here without hesitation if we visit Rome again. One more thing - although it is a little far from the center of Rome, it is a simple 20 minute bus ride, which only costs a couple of euros, and can be a lot of fun. It's also a great way to get the true flavor of Rome and italy. Ask the management for directions on how to use the bus system. It's very simple and economic. They'll gladly tell you and you'll never want to take a taxi again.

I loved this place! I know it is out of the way but the bus runs every 15 minutes to the center of town. It looks like a 5 star hotel and is run like one but for a fraction of the price.
I asked the concierge for a restaurant recommendation and she got us into the most delicious place. She also helped us with our early departure and they even packed us scrumptious breakfasts to go!
The room was so pretty with marble bathrooms, and elegant decor, not to mention the free internet service in room and multitude of channels to choose from.
I booked a July stay in February and the cost of one night was 80 euros!! Which is unheard of in high season in Italy.

My wife and I stayed there for a 10th anniversary treat to ourselves. The hotel stands up to its reputation, however as other guests have noted it is difficult to find if you are not used to Rome's transport system. It is situated on via Flaminia which is an extremely long road so you cant go by the road name alone.
Get the Metro line A to Ottaviano, then go to the bus stop and board the 32. (Remember to buy your bus ticket from either a tobacconist or the train station ticket machine "ATAC" before you get on the bus). After about 10/15 minutes the bus leaves the main road and circulates a large grey official looking building right next to the Stadio Olympico, then it will rejoin the same main road. (Tor di Quinto) When it does this, press the stop button and get off at the next stop. You will then need to cross the road and find you way up to the hotel. (5 minutes walk at most). Alternatively print the map off and get a taxi from the city centre, should be about 10-15 Euro, but ask the taxi driver before you get in. He will then know you are aware how much it should be.

The hotel itself is beautiful inside, and the buffet breakfasts were typically European, (ie fresh fruit, croissants, cold meats & cheese & cake!). The staff were attentive and helpful and spoke excellent English.

Other than the hassle of finding it, I cant think of another gripe. (Although I was charged 16 Euro's for 2 Gin & Tonic's which I think was a mistake but I couldn't challenge it as I was on the taxi home when I noticed)
