First of all, contrary to the name, Vesta is neither a hotel nor a B&B. It is simply a hostel with private rooms and a shared bathroom. (A private bathroom option is available, I think.) Staying at the Vesta can be a suitable experience if you intend just to sleep and shower. However, be prepared to take flip-flops to the shower (the bathroom floor gets very wet), pack lots of Kleenex (the bathroom frequently ran out of tissue), and pack some earplugs (at least two rooms are above a loud road that only dies down after midnight.) Other problems: broken shower head, cracked toilet lid, and the impression that the "fresh" towel placed in our towels everyday were just soiled towels from the previous night, refolded neatly.
On a positive note, the Vesta is very close to the Tiburtina metro stop, so we had no problems getting into the city. (Oh, the website states that it is near the Spanish Steps; it is nowhere near the Spanish Steps. Maybe four or five metro stops away.) The area appears very seedy (drunken loiterers and gypsies), but we never felt uncomfortable or felt that we were in danger.
It is also a very affordable place to stay, which I am sure is the only reason it gets business. Even if you book using a credit card, you must pay in cash for the entirety of your stay at check-in (this should be stated on your email confirmation.)
