Fellini's Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located in the heart of central Rome, the quality and comfort are those one may find at an expensive hotel yet the service more personal and friendly. The inn is situated barely a minute walk from the Fontana di Trevi where Anita Eckberg bathed in the famous scene from 'La Dolce Vita'. The very name of the guesthouse and the sketches lining the walls is a compliment to the great film director. The central location was ideal with easy accessibility by foot or public transportation to the very soul of town. In regards to the reasonable rates, they range from a minimum of 60 for a single bedroom with shared bathroom during low season up to 310 for a suite during high season. The standard rate for a room with double bed and en-suite bathroom is 130. Each room has its own conveniences, such as color tv, hair-dryer, and safe. Additionaly, a pick-up and/or drop-off service to the airport is available.

My husband and I stayed at the Fellini Inn from Sept. 19th - 23rd, 2006. I couldn't recommend this B&B more! Jean Pierre and his staff were SO helpful and everyone spoke great English. They really made our stay enjoyable!

Upon arrival, Jean Pierre gave us a great map and told us the key places to visit, as well as some tips and tricks to avoid lines. We received restaurant recommendations and they even arranged a taxi for us on the day of our departure.

We stayed in apartment #6 which was accessible by stairs or a very small lift. The unit was clean and comfortable. Upon entry, there is a living room with TV, sofa and dining table with chairs. Through the doorway is a small kitchen complete with stove, fridge, and pots and pans. Through another doorway is the bedroom, which was quite narrow, but had a nice double bed, TV, and and a wardrobe closet. Off of the bedroom is a very nice bath with shower.

The unit featured A/C, lots of storage, and plenty of windows. It is within walking distance to the Metro and all of the sites. There was daily maid service and a delicious breakfast was served in the room each morning.

I highly recommend the Fellini Inn and would definately stay there again!

Happy travels,
Krista and Ryan

I booked a double room with private bathroom through their internet site after having red tripadvisor reviews. Almost everything that was said in the previous reviews such as the confortable bed, excellent location, nice furnished rooms, not overated price, cleanliness of rooms and bathroom is true. The fact that the walls are thin and that one can hear people coming in and out of their room or even sneeze is true. However, we were not often in our room and did not hear anything. The young ladies at the front desk were very helpful and showed us a great shopping district near the vatican. I guess what we liked the most about this hotel is its location and the fact that the rooms were spotless clean and did not feel as if it had been used too much (bed was very confortable for those who like a firm bed). There was a nice modern TV in the room as well. I would say this B& B is suited for people who like to be independant, do not need a hotel service and attach a big importance to location.

If you are in Rome sightseeing for a few days and don't plan on spending time in your hotel, this place is for you. It is modern, clean, no frills. My husband and I were quite happy with it. It definitely had a nice atmosphere and is in a perfect location. The rooms were small (but that is europe), but had a warmth about them, nice marble floors, satellite tv, and a clean modern bathroom. However - -no frills! The breakfast was more than sufficient. The girl who worked the breakfast room was lovely and helpful. We hardly spent time in the room outside to shower and change, as we were out exploring rome.

The only problem with the place (but everything is a trade off), is that there is no 24 hour service. You have to provide the time of day you plan on arriving. My husband and I arrived early, but there was no one to let us in. Luckily, the girl who was preparing the breakfast was around, so we were able to be buzzed in and drop off our suitcases, otherwise, we would not have been happy.

Another issue we had is that the one girl (don't want to name names) went on and on about a long fax that we had sent to the hotel. She was upset that no one called her beforehand to let her know that a fax was coming in? she was very helpful outside of that. So, this is out for any sort of business services!

One other thing - -noise. You hear everything! I heard when everyone returned home at night...the walls are thin inside and outside. If you are a light sleeper and want to sleep at an early and reasonable hour - - it could possibly be a problem. We were so exhausted at the end of the day that it was not a problem for us.

Overall, great value for the money! I would stay here again and recommend it to friends - - definitely!

This is my second time at Fellini and this time I brought my family. We had a great time. Jean Pierre, the owner, is a fantastic guy. Professional, kind, friendly and will do everything to make your stay memorable and comfortable. Staff at the Fellini are all friendly and are willing to help with anything and everything. Rooms are impeccably clean, nice and roomy and its a great feeling when getting into bed at the end of a long day. Breakfasts are very nice and nutritious with yogurt, cheese, juices and fruit.
Location is so ridiculously perfect...you're everywhere within minutes. Just perfect.

I recommend this place whole-heartedly and definitely look forward to visiting again! Cheers to Fellini...
