This hotel is in a fantastic location for just about all the major attractions of Rome, as each one is within a 20 minute walk. On the day we arrived the chap at the desk explained on a map where everything is and added diagrams showing the route, we found this very useful and welcoming although the speed of explanation was quite something!
Our room (102) was clean and tidy (cleaned and fresh towels daily) and certainly has the tallest wardrobe we have ever encountered! The room was quite large with a comfortable bed and air conditioning.
The shower head tended to emit water from various places and there was a crack in the sink, but there was plenty of hot water and and clean towels so we can put up with these things for a couple of days. Breakfast was as you would expect for continental, bread cheese cereal etc, all very fresh and with great coffee! The fruit juice would certainly put hairs on your chest as it didn't appear to have been diluted but it was a nice high for a moment.
The hotel will store your luggage when you check out if you want to carry on sightseeing and I would say to use the facility, we thought we would leave the luggage at the Termini rather than come back - big mistake as there are huge queues and no self service lockers.
Overall we would recommend this hotel to anyone who values location over absolute perfection, there were things we could have complained about if we were to be picky but we were there for 3 nights and just got on with our break, after all we didn't spend that much time in the room.

wonderful location, wonderful staff and a lovely room. Only downside was having to cross the hall to go to the bathroom but that was minor.
Very large room by European standards, airconditioning was usual ineffective european but the weather was pleasant so didn't really need it. I would go back.

I booked a shared bathroom over six months ahead with the hope that our room would be more than adequate.Upon arrival we were treated like we were interrupting the guy at the front desk's TV viewing. His attitude didn't improve. Our room had no tv remote, the air conditioner was broken and at one stage no lift.(we were on the 5th floor). When we asked about all this we were told "that's your bad luck, its not my problem". I asked to see the owner, whom I discovered lives in Kenya! No effort was made to assist with any of the faults. After further haranguing we managed to be given a private facilities bathroom as recompense on our last night.Be careful of the front door as some guests can lock it from the outside meaning you are locked in.This also happened to us on our first day there. The only way out was to ring the front desk from your room.Lucky for us another guest arrived on the outside to let us out.
On the other hand I must stress that the night front desk man was wonderful as was the breakfast room girl. They went out of their way to make our stay a happy one.On one morning we left at 7am for a bus trip, she prepared croissants and tea for us early which was much appreciated.(The guy at the desk told us we would just have to miss out).On talking to other people staying there we found similar experiences had unfolded. This would be a great place if the guy and the air conditioner were replaced.

We got a prepaid room without an attached bathroom so I think we had pretty much the worst room they have. Like most hotels in the area you have to climb up 1 flight of stairs to get to an elevator then you can take it to your floor. The location was safe and clean and pretty close to the train ( probably around 2 city blocks). The room itself was clean but small. It had a safe. The walls were very thin. You can hear things from the bathroom which was down the hall. There was barely enough room to open out two suitcases. The bathroom which was shared was clean. There was a nice sitting area to have the breakfast which aside from the coffee was pretty basic. (Some cereal and hard boiled eggs). They had a nice outdoor terrace where you could have breakfast in the morning if you wanted. The biggest complaint I would have with this hotel is that despite having what looked to be modern air conditioners , they did not work. Our room despite leaving the ac on all day never was cooler than 30degrees Celsius which is around 86 degrees Fahrenheit. The staff was helpful in trying to manipulate it but when asked they would not give us another room. The room we paid for was around 80-120 euros a night and I would say is pretty cheap for the area and the staff is very nice. We had a chance to peak into the other rooms, they all seemed bigger and the one with an included bathroom was actually large, so I would just avoid getting the room we stayed in which was 504.

While the hotel itself is alright—beds reasonably comfortable, breakfast fine, bathrooms clean, good location—we encountered unbelievably rude front desk staff. There was a dime-sized sharp piece of glass between our fitted sheet and the mattress. When we told the front desk attendant, he shrugged his shoulders and said something about it being both his first day and not his problem. He was extremely adversarial and unhelpful. We discovered yet another piece of glass in the bed the next night, and received a similar response the next day.

No apologies, no cleaning, no nothing. For 80€ per night (or for any price, really) this isn't acceptable.
