This hotel was better than what we were expecting. I would rate it about 4 stars. We had a room facing the courtyard and it was recently renovated.

The rooms are very clean inside and bathrooms are fantastic. Quite big for european standards so there's plenty of room. If you are travelling in summer, you will definitely need air conditioning and this is an extra cost - so be prepared for that.

Breakfast is typical european, just a coffee and a crossant - you may have some cereal on offer but nothing big.

Hotel is nice and close to the station but in a good area. The station area can be dangerous at night time but the hotel is just far enough away to avoid that. It has lots of restaurants near by and is a very short walk to the main attractions.

I would stay here again. Price is very reasonable for what you get ( we paid 110 euro per night)

We had two rooms to accommodate a family of five. While one hotel room was facing towards the courtyard and was very quiet, the other room was facing the street and was incredibly noicy. The rooms were very plain and basic, the bathrooms were tiny and fortunately fairly recently renovated.

The breakfast was adequate and the girls who served us were not particularly friendly, but that was a minor inconvenience.

We rarely used the tiny lift but walked the stairs up to our rooms. The railings have not been cleaned in a few years judging by the thick layer of dust. Still, the rooms were reasonably clean.

The location was great, only minutes away from the station and very central. We love walking and covered most of the centre by foot from this hotel, including the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps and Trastevere.

This is a comfortable, clean and conveniently located hotel at a very good price (especially considering Rome prices). It is located about a 5 minute walk from the Termini train station, various bus and metro lines, and within easy walking distance of many sites (Rome is best explored on foot anyway!) Our room was not especially spacious, but it was very clean, had comfortable beds and a good shower, and the option to use air conditioning if required (although beware that there is an extra 10 EUR charge for it per night if you do opt to use it--we didn't). Staff were friendly and spoke English. Breakfast is simple and nothing special, although this was not a problem for us (those who require big breakfasts could easily pick something up from the many nearby stores and cafes). The surrounding area, unsurprisingly when considering the hotel's proximity to the train station, can be a little shady at night, although we never had any problems and never felt unsafe. One tip--don't rely on the Romantica's website map to help you find the hotel--it isn't very well labelled. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a friendly, comfortable and conveniently located hotel in Rome at a very reasonable price.

We stayed in the Hotel RomAntica at the beginning and again at the end of our trip to Italy. The first time the room was just okay. It was on the street, but the noise of the air conditioner drowned out street noise. The second time, we were in a nicer room on the courtyard side. The air conditioner was quieter and the bathroom was larger. All in all, it was a nice hotel for a good price. The staff was very friendly and accomodating - even giving us some breakfast "to go" when we had to leave before they started serving it one morning. The hotel was a couple blocks from the train station which was really nice for getting around, but could be a little iffy at night. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a good deal, but ask for a room on the courtyard side.

Hotel RomAntica was is in the best location, literally about 4 minutes walk to the main termini station. The room we had was very clean and comfortable and looked recently re-furbished as everything appeared brand new. The staff were very friendly and spoke good english. Air con is available at a cost of ten euros per night and well worth it in the summer heat. There is not one negative thing I can say about the Hotel and I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Rome and I would certainly stop here again.
