Please do yourself a favor, do not stay at The Clarin Hotel! We couldn't even stay there one night! We knew it was not good when no cab drivers had ever heard of it out of about 5 of them that we talked to at the train station. The cab driver we had only found out after calling his company and them looking it up. So, we get there and it says it is on the second story, which we thoght was odd. So, we attempt to get in the tiny elevator and it is broken. We get up to the hotel and we immediately notice one thing-the smell! It smells absolutely horrible! Like mold and smoke! We reluctantly go to check out our room and it stinks horribly, as well! We have honestly never smelled anything so horrible. We asked for a Queen and twin bed and there are three twin beds in our room. The bathroom is tiny with the smallest shower I have ever seen. My Husband sees a whole bunch of mold on the top of the toilet. We leave to find another hotel and end up being able to get a room at a great place just up the street. We go back to talk to the guy at the front desk at The Clarin and it was interesting. We had hoped since we hadn't even been there for 30 minutes he would let us go with just paying our depsoit. Nope. He wanted the deposit and two nights stay! Even after we told him how much it stinks and is dirty and does not look like the brochure at all! We argued with him for a bit, he said he was calling the cops if we didn't pay deposit and two nights, so we gave it to him. I said sir, it is amazing that we just wasted $300 dollars to check out this horrible place and were not even here for 30 minutes. Oh well. Just please do not stay here! It is terrible!
