A delightful hotel with fantastic service and an enjoyable stay for three nights. About ten minutes walk from Cornelia station, the hotel is a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Rome. The room was in a great condition and had all of the things you would expect from a hotel. However did lack a tea and coffee making facilities..

Giuseppe was a fantastic member of staff who helped us plan our routes and gave us a few pointers on where to go and through which routes.

The room had a jacuzzi bath which was nice after a long days walking and touring..

There is nothing really in Cornelia or near the hotel in terms of restaurants. There is a bar within 5 mins and the "Golden Arches" are a further 10 minute walk for all you dirrty people!!

Overall, would stay there again. Its only 11 Euros for a three day travelcard and that gets you around the city with ease. Cornelia is on Line A of the metro and is the penultimate stop en route to Battistini (north of the line). Ottaviano (Vactican) is only 4-5 stops away so it really is near the vatican and to town.

Would recommend to anyone who would like to stay in a quiet hotel in Rome.

Bellisimo!

We just got back from a trip to Rome. We spent 6 nights at the Pinewood. It was a great deal! The rooms were very clean and tidy. The staff (most of our experience was with the front desk-Rita and Guiseppe) were terrific. They spoke great English and were very friendly and helpful. It was about a 10 min. walk to metro. It was kind of nice to escape the craziness of the center of Rome. We only ate in the neighborhood the last night and it seems they only recommend Seadas and saw many other people from the hotel however, the resturant was great! It was nice to eat in an authentic Italian restuarant vs the tourists trap ones in Rome. They were very friendly and it seemed to be family owned. The beds were big and pretty comfy. We would recommend this hotel to others. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast but was adequate and nice to have!

Stayed for three nights in quadruple room with two teenage children. Room was small but comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Desk staff spoke excellent English. Good continental breakfast included in the price. The hotel is located about half a mile from Cornelia Metro station which has very regular trains to all of the tourist spots. Cornelia is a dump but don't be put off by it when you first go to the hotel. You will not be disappointed.

I stayed with my partner at Pinewood over the valentines weekend and we both loved it! The staff were friendly & helpful, full of recommendations for restaurants & best places to visit other then the normal tourist hotspots. After our long days out the jacuzzi tub was a well needed treat at the end of the day. Even with our lack of knowledge of Rome the hotel location made travelling around Rome so simple, we never required a taxi once! I will definitely be staying at Pinewood whenever I return to Rome.

We stayed at the Pinewood Hotel for a week during the Christmas holiday period, with 2 children. We had a brilliant stay.

The room was small, which came as a bit of a shock on arrival; but it was absolutely SPOTLESS. We had clean towels and toiletries everyday and the maid kept the place immaculate. The breakfast was great, plenty to eat, and unlike some places I have stayed before, the food kept on coming until everyone had left the breakfast room.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The only small complaint I might make is that they were a little cagey about restaurants in the area and sort of refused to recommend anywhere but the Saledas restaurant - which was a wonderful place to eat, but we like some variety! Don't be afraid to try some of the other restaurants in town, we enjoyed Inca's Grill and Frankie's to name just two.

The location was also a big plus. The metro is a short walk, and we enjoyed getting away from the hustle and bustle of central Rome after a hard day sightseeing.

We all cried when we had to come home!
