If youre looking for the Ritz, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for fantastic value, fantastic service, in the middle of everything then you will not be disappointed. We arrived from Ciampino Airport using the Terravision transfer bus which dropped us off at the Termini Station. I wanted a hotel that was quite near so that I didnt have to get a taxi, it was about a 7 minute walk away just off the Via Nazionale. Dont be disheartened about the frontage it looks just like a residential apartment block, which it is!! once you get inside your are welcomed by big smiles and they all speak very good english. The rooms have been recently refurbished and are spotless, after a day sightseeing you are glad to be back and the beds are so comfortable that you will not have any trouble sleeping, the area is very quiet even though you are in the middle of it all. The only strange thing is the layout of the rooms. Most of the rooms lead directly off the tiny dining room where they serve a comprehensive continental breakfast and they ask you if you would like breakfast in bed and they will litteraly bring it straight into your room for you whilst you are still in bed!! What service is that!! Well if you can get over the quirkyness of it all, I can definately recommend it to everyone, the colloseum is at the end of the road as is the forum, the Vittorio Emmanuel is about another 5 mins walk. The tube station is around the corner which will take you to the Vatican for 1Euro. Also it is far enough away from the Termini station that you should be safe, I have read several reviews about the Termini Station Area being a bit rough so try and avoid that area. Hope this helps and have a wonderful stay in Rome, its a lovely place.

Spent two nights stay here in May 2006 and found the location excellent for visitting the sights and the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was a little cramped but with breakfast in your room as an alternative, this was no problem. I would definitely stay again for my next vist to Rome.

I spent 3 nights in Notte a Roma and had a great time. I booked through Venere and through the website advised of my late arrival, I also phoned Sandro, the owner, to check the message had got through, it had. I arrived at 00:45hrs to a cheery reception. Sandro was very friendly and we had some good conversations about travelling in Italy and Italian politics.
The room was very quiet, when travelling I ALWAYS take earplugs but no real need to this time, only the chinking of the cups in the morning would disturb.
The shower was hard to get into and out of, don't know how anyone with disability or of a larger build would manage.
Everyone in the Pensione was very obliging, especially when I realised I'd lef my credit card in a shop! The guy phoned up and told me the bus to get on etc.
A super small Pensione (5 rooms), great location near Metro and bus stops, supermarket and ristorante.
A Buon albeghi!

We found this B&B to be of a good standard and clean, the location is very handy, it's easy to get to both the Termini train/bus station and to the major sites.

I have to advise you the lay out is a bit quirky, we booked in at the reception on the first floor by the Via Firenze entrance but actually got to our room by the entrance on Via Nazionale which was through a large double door, a large double gate into a courtyard into a set of stair, one short flight and through another locked door. These actually make you feel safer as they all have their own locks. The room was a good size and the bathroom was a reasonable size as well, both were cleam and warm. You could have a good continental breakfast in either your room or the small breakfast room.

You can get the number64 bus into town from within 100 yards (you get your ticket from a news stand or tobbaconist and validate on the bus) or further down the Via Nazionale the 110 hop on hop off tour bus (you pay on the bus), which drops off at or near a lot of the major sites.

I'm very happy that we chose this B&B

Stayed at Notti a Roma for 4 nights in Sept 05 and we found it a pleasant place to stay. Young, friendly staff, good location just off Via Nazionale close to Repubblica metro station, about 10 minutes walk from Termini and about 15 to the Colosseum. A couple of "Irish" pubs close by for a pint of Guinness, but watch the prices...

Clean, decent-sized room (no. 105) at the back, and very quiet. Don't know about the rooms on the street side. Continental breakfast was fine, just say when you want it the previous evening, though 7.30 was a bit too early for them!

We paid 100 Euros for the room for each night, and thought it offered value.

The one strange thing was the "towels" they provided (which were more like tablecloths), but hey, that's the beauty of experiencing different places!
