Do not stay at room 107. Semi basement with 1 small frosted window overlooking communal courtyard. No A/C.No lift.
Small bedroom , hardly anywhere for the bags, so travel light ( 1 small bag). There is only enough space around the double bed for a single person to pass so if there are 2 people, one will have to be on the bed while the other walks around.
The bathroom is so small and placement of WC so awkward that you will have to sit sideways for a crap or your arm will be half way over the basin, The shower is even smaller. If you drop the soap forget about picking it up or you'll hit your head on the wall. The mouldy shower curtain is so short that water spills out over the wc and floor. The bidet is tucked away in such a small alcove that you have to squat on the rim to use it. The hand shower has a broken holder so that there is no where to hang the shower head. So to soap yourself up you would have to turn the shower off or leave on but hanging off the wall showering the whole bathroom.
The communal courtyard outside the window amplifies all manner of noise and conversation all night long from exuberent neighbours. Leaking or dripping condensation outside the window was like chinese water torture throughout the night and you can count the number of times the neighbours went to the toilet by the loud flushing. We had to buy earplugs.
Breakfast was the same package continental every morning. At least the pot of coffee was hot but be frugal as a request for 2nd pot is quickly refused.
We were not expecting much but the constant water noise and loud neighbours was something we were not prepared for.

When we arrived they were cleaning the reception, when I put my arm on the desk of the reception they warned me, but too late .. the sleeve of my jacket was full of bleach stains. The hotel wasn't in any way prepared to contribute to the damage they caused. I really wouldn't have asked for the full price of the jacket (2 months old), but some compensation or a small discount on the hotel bill would have been enough.

We dont recommend it at all!Be careful before choosing it!Althourgh they say that the hotel has an elevator, the trouth is that the elevator is always out of service, so,you have to step to the 4th floor (107 stairs!)carrying all your luggage without help! They use to say that the problem of the elevator is "only for today",but they lie. Also, they retrench electricity so the stairs have no lights and the worst is that every morning when we wake up,there was no electricity in the room!we had to call everytime at the reception and to wait some minutes to fix the problem. The room was dirty and the breakfast very very simple. In the same area, which is very central, there are A LOT of hotels, try to find another one

Anna - UK.

I saw some of the other reviews on this hotel on tripadvisor before booking and they were all pretty mixed. To be honest my friend and i stayed for three nights and we couldn't ask for a better budget hotel.

It is definitely a 2 star so you can't expect luxury and it isn't a massive breakfast (in case you wanted to save money on brekkie!) however it is in a fantastic location and a 10 minute walk from the Colosseum, Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain.

The staff are really nice and the hotel feels safe with a buzzer entry after dark (24 hour reception). There aren't that many restaurants or shops right near the hotel but with such a short walk to everything it doesn't matter. We had booked a twin room but as they were quiet they switched us to a triple giving us extra space!

Look no further for a great, cheap and central hotel.

I stayed at the Hotel Seiler Dec 07 - I searched for the best price & location for a single traveller, and I think I found it. The staff were friendly, helpful & spoke english well. Main bus stops on Via Nazionale are a minute's walk away, and are the first stops after Termini on the 40 Express and 64 bus lines. I felt safe & central. Recommended for inexpensive centrally located stay!!
