My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in our fantastic trip to Rome.
The hotel is very small and cosy, and have a nice atmosphere. The room was very small, but it was absolutly wonderfully decorated! It was also very clean.
The location was great if you dont mind taking the metro to get places. It was the mainline metro that was closest to the hotel, and it only took about 10 min to get to Coliseum. The hotel is not close to the road, it was nice and quiet in the neighbourhood. Not any restaurants or shops nearby, but like I said, not far with the metro.
I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast, but from the looks of the other rewies, they might have changed the poor selection.

I would defenitly stay in this hotel again!

We recently stayed at this hotel and it was excellent. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke very good English. All the other reception staff were excellent as well.

The room was small but beautifully decorated. Bathroom was all marble as was the staircase.

Very good buffet breakfast served on the roof terrace with lovely views out.

It is located on the B metro line which takes you staight down to the Colosseum and forum.

Do not miss the Villa Borghese. A bus outside the hotel takes you there. It is closed on Mondays and you have to buy tickets. They have two hour sessions throughout the day which means that it does not get overcrowded like the Vatican. The telephone booking office is closed on a Sunday but we went anyway and were able to buy tickets for later in the day. However this depends on how busy they are. The park itself is lovely on Sunday because the Romans go there for picnics, cycling, skateboarding etc.
We managed on the metro with our cases but if you have heavy bags it is best to get a taxi because of the steps. Also the express train to the airport has awkward steps.

We stayed at the this hotel in July 2007, during a major heat wave! The hotel is very adorable from the outside, but th elobby is almost nonexistant. Our room was VERY TINY, but very beautiful. The walls were padded with fabric, very luxurious!

The A/C was amazing in this hotel, and kept us very cool! However, we experienced multiple power outages and a very loud fire alarm at 2am that lasted for about an hour.

The front desk staff was pretty hostile, and was very annoyed with us every time we called to find out why the A/C was broken. They were even rude to us at one point, because our room card stopped working - not our fault! They also had no restaurant recommendations, which we thought was odd, don't guests ask them for that all the time?

The breakfast was great at this hotel, and the rooftop patio was lovely! The location close the the metro was great !

I arrived at ciampino airport and jumped into a taxi. The cost has been set at a fee of 30 euros, this was displayed in the airport and confirmed by the driver.
The jouney time to the hotel was about 20 mins (make sure you have your seat belt on!)
We arrived at the hotel just after 10 and expected the room not to be ready, the hotel advised us to leave our bags and they would place them in the room once ready.
We left the hotel and walked to the underground station which was appox 5 mins walk away, purchased a three day ticket for 11 euros and then hopped on the train, all very easy.
Two stops to the termini, within 10 mins.
Just keep your bags and wallets safe as we warned once again of pickpockets in the area.
After a wonderfull day in Rome we returned to the hotel.
The room was ready and our bags as promised were taken to our room.
The room was compact but had everything you needed for a short stay, the room was very clean and the water pressure in the shower was excellent.
The room was equipped with a TV and a fridge, with room to place small bottles of water in.
Again for the amount of time spent in the room we found it to be very comfortable.
The breakfast is located on the top of the hotel, the staff on duty will make you fresh coffee to start the day, plenty of pastries and cold meet and cheese.
Overall i would definitely return to this hotel, the only slight negative is the location, fine for us didnt mind the underground and woiuld return by taxi, the most expensive taxi was 15 euros, not bad for two people.
Some guests might find the underground a bit threatening as the trains resemble something out of 70s new york, covered in graffiti, but as i stated we had no problems.
would i rebbook yes definitely, all the staff were helpfull and pleasant.
one last tip booked a vatican trip and had to queue for 2 hours just to get into the vatican! would not reommend this for small children.

We stayed at the Villa Morgagni for 4 nights and what a great hotel it turned out to be. We arrived at Termini and jumped on the metro to Policlinico - 2 stops later and a 2 min walk, we came to the hotel. The check in service was quick and friendly and our room was big, very clean, and relaxing. As we had booked a family room, the sofa bed (double) was already made up for our daughter. She especially liked the jacuzzi bath and plasma tv. The breakfast on the roof terrace was more than we expected with pastries, cereals, fruit, hams & cheeses, as well as eggs and bacon, which started our day of trekking around Rome. We had a lovely stay here, and definately will be returning. The location is quiet, just what you need from the hustle and bustle of a very busy city.
