This hotel is wonderful. I can highly recommend Room #23. It has two double beds, a little sitting area, nice bathroom--even though we never fully mastered the shower--and French doors open on to a lovely little patio. Other reviewers were right about the coffee in the breakfast room--which was instant--and not good. But the hotel was clean, charming, great location, nice breakfast, very friendly and helpful and kind staff. One afternoon we returned to the hotel, drenched from the rain, and we called and received a nice pot of tea--at no charge. We even discovered a little local color: that the owners pay rent to the Vatican as the building was once a monastery. Just nod to the Sisters as they pass and say, Buongiorno!

Location of this hotel is perfect near most the major attractions, also near metro stop. Decor may not be to everyones taste but rooms clean and cosy. buffet breakfast sometimes a little scarce in choice near end of breakfast time. staff helpful and polite at all times. would recommend this hotel for it's location alone.

Great location, walking distance to Trevit Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. Nice resaurants just around the corner. We booked two rooms connected by a balcony which was great for our daughters. If you have any questions or concerns we just asked the front desk. Free continental breakfast and it was the way to start the day. Had trouble figuring out the shower. In one room the shower was very small but it is Rome you know.

I stayed here with my father for four nights during my first trip to Rome. This hotel is great. Our room was on the small side, but it was not a problem. We even had a small patio/balcony that we shared with another room. Since my father is elderly I was glad for the small lift that could take us to our room and up to the breakfast room on the top floor. I was very happy with the daily breakfast. The dining room was beautifully decorated each morning. The food was good and filling. It is a european breakfast with bread rolls cheese and meat, but they also had fresh fruit, cereals and yogurt. The coffee came out of a machine, but there were many choices (Americano, Cappachino, Esspresso, hot chocolate) and each was delicious. The location of this hotel is awesome. The Trevi Fountain is just a short walk away and so are the Spanish Steps. The metro station is also just up the street. Very convenient. The Via Venato is also close by and great for an evening stroll. When we did not walk we used to Metro and its very easy to get to the Vatican from this location. There are many good restaurants nearby. There is a little internet shop around the corner and the prices are reasonable. 2.50 euros for an hour....but I usually only spent 1 euro to check my email and email the family. The staff of the hotel is friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to this hotel again in the future.

Rgarick said it all in his review. (See below.) Stayed at this hotel prior to embarking on a cruise. As long as you know that it is a small "boutique" hotel, you won't be disappointed. Yes, it was overly decorated but we enjoyed the fact that it 's location was perfect for walking to many of the sights, e.g. Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Narvonne, and narrow, lovely streets for shopping and restaurants. You will need to take a taxi (reasonably priced) to St. Peter's Basilica. Very nice cold breakfast buffet in charming rooms on the top floor. Staff was wonderful and helpful. I e-mailed them with questions prior to the trip and they promptly responded. Would definitely stay there again.

  • Liked — Location for sightseeing.
  • Disliked — Room was overly ornate.
