We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It was very easy to get to from Flaminio Station. The nearest station to the hotel was La Celsa which was 20 minutes on the train but you do have to ring the bell for it to stop or it goes to the next stop but not alot of difference in the distance to the hotel. The hotel seemed a little "tired" but it was comfortable. In our room it seemed to need a bit of an update - Room 305, one of the walls was dirty but the bathroom was spotless, plenty of toilet roll and toiletries. The room was right next door to the lift and was quite noisy until about midnight! AUnfortunately there was nothing to eat in the evening but you could get a drink from the bar and sit in reception where there are comfy sofas. Internet was 1.50 euro for half an hour. There was a snack machine down here as well. The trains start running at 6.30am and there is a main road by the side. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of coffee, croissants, rolls, cheese, hams, yoghurts, fruit. It was not the best hotel I have stayed in but it was comfortable and easy to get to Rome from. The reception staff I found very helpful indeed.

Male staff not at all helpful. The hotel is out of the way from anywhere there was nothing to do or see from the hotel. The restaurant if they have one was not open . You needed a train ticket to get to centre Rome which only hotel had and they had no change for a 10 euro note(disgusting in my opinion) So we had to walk a long way to find a shop to get change then further to get next station. Hotel room was on 3rd floor. the life only accommodates 2 people so if you have luggage have to do it in 2 gos. The staIrways are dangerous, the handrails are coming away from the wall. No toilet rolls in room, Cleaners did not leave any. Embarrasing to have to ask for it. The choice for breakfast was very very limited. I expected much more. The bed was very very uncomfortable mattress sank when you lied in it and stayed like it. WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN
MOST UNFRIENDLY HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN AND I HAVE TRAVELLED THE WORLD. Having said this ROME is a smashing place to visit.

On my next trip to Rome I will be staying here again! I loved our room - top storey which over looked the neighbourhood. The bed was super comfy, there was a fridge, great bathroom which looked brand new! Breakfast every morning was fresh and tasty - great way to start a fun filled busy day. Was a little confused as to where the train station was but once we figured it out it became second nature. The staff were super friendly which always help. They have their own computer with internet access which is great.

  • Liked — It was clean, staff were great, breakfast was always fresh.
  • Disliked — Out in the sticks a little but with the train station just there it's not a huge problem.

My wife and I just returned to the US from Rome where we stayed at Hotel Flaminius for 10 days. We stayed there because I had been to Rome last November for a brief visit and enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

We found the staff to be cordial and helpful. The room was large, clean, well kept, air-conditioned and had a balcony. We had a good breakfast each morning. Internet service is available.

The hotel Director, Mr. Stefano, and also Ms. Cristina were especially helpful with providing directions to some tourist sites in Rome.

The train to Rome is still 1 euro and takes about 18 minutes to Piazza del Popolo/Metro. From there you can walk to the various sites, transfer to the Metro system, or take a taxi.

We would definitely stay there again.

I went to the flaminius hotel with my friend, both of us being 18 yrs old wanting a short city break werent too sure what to expect, having read some awful reviews and some good ones we were expecting to be slightly disappointed.

However this hotel did not disappoint us in the slightest, after battling with the metro and the trains to get to La Celsa, when we arrived there in the dark after a long day of travelling I was getting quite stressed and when we left the metro station it was like we were in the middle of nowhere, however we asked a friendly local who pointed us in the right direction and we found it after 200m.

We found one of the consierge, extremely helpful and was willing to help with everything.
We had a new double room, where within 5 minutes I had managed to cut off all the electricity by pressing a green button, I wouldnt recommend you do this!
Anyway the decor was very modern, we had a lovely big room with a flat screen tv which unfortunately the only english channel was CNN which got a little repetitive, but it was ok!

It was extremely clean the floor was spotless and the bathroom was small but everything was packed in nicely, a big shower cubicle, which had a reasonably powerful shower.

The breakfast was lovely, the crossiants were fresh and a wide selection of jams and nutella, also there was different breads and cheeses, or cereal, cakes and fruit. Which was good to fill up on and set us up for the day.

The travelling around is the only downside as it is quite a way out of the way, however you can buy a tram ticket for 1 euro which lasts for 75 minutes and easily gets you to where you want to be.

There is a resturant next to the hotel which is a family run place which serves pasta and pizza, Im sure in the summer months would have more people in it, but we got take away pizza and a bbottle of wine for 25 euro which was reasonable as the pizzas are a good size.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and loved Rome, it is good value for money and for a short break I would go back.
