My husband and I have just reurned from a 2 night stay at the Delle Vittorie. We were in Rome last March and Stayed at the Fellini Inn near the Trevi fountain so I thought we would book that again but the prices in September were double what we had paid previously so I spent days looking for somewhere to stay and I found the Delle Vittorie which for £70 a night for a double was excellent value (and half what the Fellini would have cost). Rome is a very expensive city to stay in and for the same price all I could find were B&Bs in the dodgy suburbs sharing a flat with the owners and sharing a bathroom with the other guests to. This hotel is a real find. The Pratti area is a middle class residential area and as such has lovely shops and places to eat. The hotel is a ten minute walk from Lepanto metro which is only a few stops from Termini. We struggled to find the hotel the first night as it is not directly on Piazzale Manzinni but a road behind. Basically it is stright across (180degrees) the square from where you hit the square (Ferrarri) and next door to the Rai tv studios. Theres a gorgeous pasticceria on the square with hundreds of gorgeous cakes and a really nice pizzeria close by. Prices are however more expensive than some of the places in the centre because of the area you are in. I would definately recommend this hotel as it offers good value for money. The rooms are spotless with flat screen tvs, hairdryer, digital safe and bathroms that have a bath and a shower. Breakfast is great by italian standards. Juices, fruit, cereals, cakes, croissants and bread. One tip though is to ask for a cappuccino from the staff as they make you a fresh coffee out back so you can avoid the stewed stuff they have out in the flasks.
