After reading some positive reviews i had some hope. room was 3m by 3m little box with the bathroom door a foot away from my bed. 14 inch tv (4*??). Toilet cramed into a corner so if your taller the 5ft then you have to sit awkwardly. Either they had beg bugs or starched their sheets so much that you wake up itching all over. The bed in a standard double room was acceptable, it felt however, a big bed was squeezed into a single room.

Staff are friendly and helpfull. Great central location for buses, metro and train for the airport.

the champagne palace delivers standards and services of a basic bed and breakfast, as they are lots of these arround statione termini. So dont waste your money here, if you want a four star standard.!

I thought I had found a bargain with this hotel, but everything about it was disappointing. The room was tiny and boiling hot. The management refused to activate the air conditioning on the basis that it was October (even though it was blistering outside). Our fridge was broken so everything in it was warm but, typically the water in the shower was tepid. It was so hot at night I was unable to sleep, occasionally, in desparation I would open a window but the noise of the trains was tortuous and meant that I was still unable to sleep. Breakfast was bordering on inedible (stale bread with slices of mortadella and kraft cheese I think)
I think Rome is the most fabulous city on earth and even this horrible hotel couldn't spoil it but I wouldn't recommend this place to a dog. I complained repeatedly and eventually was given eur 40 off my eur 400 bill (for 3 nights).

A good location for exploring Rome with the termini station for great access in and out of Rome. My partener and I stayed for 3 nights last week and have both since returned with bed bug bites, so just beware of that. Also, you'll prob need a cappucino stop mid morning as breakfast coffee was awful......especially for italy!

We stayed here for a long weekend. Definitely not a 4* star hotel. Although I would happily class this as a good 3* hotel. Hotel is in a good location for all the major sites. Metro less than 5 mins walk away. Hotel and room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Clean towels ever day and room was cleaned to a good standard. Although the road outside was busy it was always quite in the room. Breakfast was your typical continental, which was Ok. Coffee was good, although the fruit juices did taste as if they were watered down. I would definitely stay here again if the price was right. If you thought you were staying in a 4* hotel and you paid 4* prices, you would be very disappointed. We got a good price and thought it was excellent value for money.

Booked a 3 night stay in Rome through Lastminute's secret hotel and although we got a really good deal (less than £80 a night including breakfast) we were really concerned when we read the reviews. Maybe not the most attractive hotel from the outside and a little quaint and dated on the inside we found the rooms to be clean and comfortable, the breakfast sufficient, the staff pleasant and helpful and thought it was an ideal hotel for a short stay in Rome. We had a fantastic time and managed to see all the main attractions in two days. The hop on bus was a great way to get around and the metro was easy to use but we found some of the best sights on foot and most were in easy walking distance of the hotel. Visit 's inside the colleseum and the Vatacan are a must and we found that it is best to just wait in the queue rather than to pay extra for a guided tour and suposed queue jump which wasnt needed to enjoy these fantastic places - overall we had a great time and cant wait to visit Italy again one day.
