What a great choice. I travelled with a friend and both of our rooms were lovely. The hotel was very clean which had been one of our main worries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and the breakfast room gave good views of the surrounding area. The hotel is a 3 min walk from Termini Stn and easy to find. The roads aroundTermini, like many main stations, was a little unkempt but still not worrying at all. There are restaurants near the hotel which serve good food if you have had a long day walking. The walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi etc is about 20 mins, but the metro is only 3 mins if you do not want to walk. Metro to Vatican also at Termini. Room service good, all in all for the price of £50 per night was ideal. Cant wait to go back to Rome was wonderful. If you swamped with looking at the different hotels from reviews etc as we were, dont worry this is a good quiet hotel.

This definitely isn't a 4-star hotel. I would bump it down to a 3-star, or even a 2-star if you factor in the front desk staff.

I have no serious complaints, the hotel room was clean and the location was easy since it was right next to the subway at Termini.

The one thing that prompted me to write a review was the front desk staff. They are very, very rude!

very clean hotel. only one problem it is right on the main road close to the main terminis for buses and trains. very noisy!!!! staff were very helpful and courteous, central to most of the sites around rome

This Hotel Champagne Palace is nothing more but a bed and breakfast. The bed in a standard double room was acceptable, it felt however, a big bed was squeezed into a single room. The bathroom was plainly a disgrace ( We stayed in room 208), the shower was for me to small to fit properly in, a large person would have had no chance to fit in there. Pubic hair on the toilet seat, the sinks blook and the shower pipe leaking.
In the room itself a loud climate control unit.
This socalled 4 star hotel provided a small 15'' TV with local TV, but not one single international channel (BBC or CNN), The storing facilities were just about fine for one guest in the room, but definetly not for 2. No room service menue available, the cheapest towels and toiletries in the bathroom.
Star rating should be a two star hotel, as the champagne palace delivers standards and services of a basic bed and breakfast, as they are lots of these arround statione termini. So dont waste your money here, if you want a four star standard.!
And be prepared to be approached by hookers in front of the Hotel entrance!
