The hotel was nice, but lacked personality. The room was big and clean; however the rugs were worn. The bed was comfortable and the water was hot - two very important things for me! The staff was polite, but not overly helpful. I am not sure if it was the language barrier or just their attitude, but they didn't have many helpful recommendations. The rooftop bar is closed for renovations. The downstairs bar is expensive and lacks any real appeal - although the service was good. The hotel is located right next to a subway stop, which is helpful if you plan to use the subway. The main train station,Termini, is within walking distance. If you want to be in the heart of Rome though I would recommend staying near the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps or Piazza del Popolo. We didnt eat at the hotel restaurant, so I cant speak for the food. I liked Rome, but 6 days was too much. If I had to do it over, I would have split up the trip between Rome and Florence (perhaps a day or two in Umbria or Tuscany).

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. The front desk staff was always helpful and very friendly. We used the concierge service for a few recommendations for restaurants and such and were again very pleased.
The only problem we had was with the restaurant food there. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were completely inedible. Our first night we decided to do room service since we were exhausted from the flight and the time change. Our group had 5 people with 3 rooms. Not one of us ate our dinner. It was truly disgusting. I am not sure why such a nice hotel could have such bad food in a country that is known for it's cuisine.
The location is pretty central to most of the attractions and cabs are in abundance for the more distant places. Cab rides are not to be missed. They are heart stopping and exciting.

Hotel was very good. We had two rooms and they gave us adjacent rooms as requested. They upgraded the second one to DeLuxe which was a nice touch. The rooms were large and well equipped in terms of bathroom/bar/storage space. You wont find flat screen TVs but we werent here to watch TV.
Service was good from reception and concierge. Happy to recommend the hotel.

We started our European Vacation at the Exedra. This was the nicest and most luxurious hotel that I have ever stayed at. (I travel a lot for work and usually stay in nice resorts). The hotel was pricey but worth every euro.
We arrived at the Exedra at 9am from a redeye from NY and they allowed us to checkin and rest. The service from the Concierge (Salvatore) was wonderful and very helpful. We liked all of his recommendations. Breakfast in the morning had a wide arrange of food.
