We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. The front desk staff was always helpful and very friendly. We used the concierge service for a few recommendations for restaurants and such and were again very pleased.
The only problem we had was with the restaurant food there. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were completely inedible. Our first night we decided to do room service since we were exhausted from the flight and the time change. Our group had 5 people with 3 rooms. Not one of us ate our dinner. It was truly disgusting. I am not sure why such a nice hotel could have such bad food in a country that is known for it's cuisine.
The location is pretty central to most of the attractions and cabs are in abundance for the more distant places. Cab rides are not to be missed. They are heart stopping and exciting.

Hotel was very good. We had two rooms and they gave us adjacent rooms as requested. They upgraded the second one to DeLuxe which was a nice touch. The rooms were large and well equipped in terms of bathroom/bar/storage space. You wont find flat screen TVs but we werent here to watch TV.
Service was good from reception and concierge. Happy to recommend the hotel.

We started our European Vacation at the Exedra. This was the nicest and most luxurious hotel that I have ever stayed at. (I travel a lot for work and usually stay in nice resorts). The hotel was pricey but worth every euro.
We arrived at the Exedra at 9am from a redeye from NY and they allowed us to checkin and rest. The service from the Concierge (Salvatore) was wonderful and very helpful. We liked all of his recommendations. Breakfast in the morning had a wide arrange of food.

We arrived late to the Boscolo and were welcomed with a friendly reception. We had already advised the hotel that we would be arriving on a night flight and that we were on honeymoon. The hotel had upgraded us to a mini suite with their compliments. Breakfast each morning was very good, and who could resist the mini pastries!! Our bathroom was terrific with a double sink unit, and a bath seperate to the shower. The hotel had a terrific location and we were able to walk to most of the popular sights in Rome. Any queries that we had with regard to trains, trips etc were answered with a smile. We did indulge in a few overpriced drinks at the bar - but when on honeymoon - who cares?? We can't wait to return to Rome and we will return to the Boscolo.....
