“Awesomeness and a must for anniversaries!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2012 via mobile

This is my first time writing a review and it's definitely worst writing about. Our room here was probably the biggest compared to our rooms in London, UK and Paris, France. It can compare to rooms in California I would say but all in tiles, no carpet. The second night we stayed the manager and staff had given us a bottle of champaign. Hubby was very impressed! It was chilled and tasted great! We ate every morning and had to book our time between 730-10am with 30 min increments. Enough tables and awesome service in the breakfast room. Every time we left the hotel we gave our room key to the front desk and it was trustworthy. The third night we stayed the hotel staff laid out a paper on marriage with a "Roma" magnet on our nicely made bed! Another awesomeness provided by the staff of hotel Orlanda! Thank you for an amazing experience and we appreciate the priceless gesture of celebration! Til we meet again .... Salute- The DeGuzmans!!

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in a quad room in Sept 2011. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms which were clean, bright and comfortable. Location near to Termini station means that there is a fair amount of traffic noise late at night and in the early hours of the morning. Closing the windows solves this problem but be aware that there is a daily extra charge for air conditioning. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor of an old building with a small lift (max capacity 2 people or 1 with luggage) so not ideally suited for pushchairs or wheelchairs.Breakfast was adequate.

This was a very convenient stopover for the game at the Olympic Stadium. The only draw back was that it is 3 floors up and the lift only took one person and a couple of bags at a time.
Desk staff were very friendly and all spoke very good English. the room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Continental breakfast was "spartan" but adequate. Ideally located 5 mins from the main termini. I personally would not want to stop more than a few days, but when in Rome ...............

We "upgraded" our Rome hotel in a package to the Hotel Orlanda.

The good:
Free wifi!!
Very nice front desk staff
Location convenient - near termini but not TOO near. $8-10E taxi to get to Vatican city.
The beds - temperpedic style- were really comfortable

The bad:
Old hotel, elevator not always operational

The ugly:
Continental breakfast - just skip it. Stale rolls/pastries. Bring some protein bars or go next door to the little tabaqui/cafe.

This was fine for a few nights - we weren't there much anyway. If the price is right...

My husband and I enjoyed our 3 night stay at Hotel Orlanda in late November. It is walking distance to Termini Station which was important to us and we felt safe in the neighborhood, although we were back in the room by 7PM each night. Room was very basic, clean, and met our needs.Breakfast was very good and pastries were very fresh. Free computer use was a plus. Staff very friendly and helpful. They go the extra mile. When we planned on leaving the room one morning prior to breakfast hours, staff arranged to have our breakfast sent to our room early which was very much appreciated. There is a laundromat a few steps away from the hotel. Price was right!

Not use to staying at a small hotel however this was a hotel we only came back to sleep. I didn't realize that WiFi in Italy is like a premium and Orlanda provides for free which was huge for me. My wife and I appreciated the cleanliness and the staff extended themselves to make our stay enjoyable. I thank 'Rocco' for helping me out unloading my huge video files I took around the city as I needed his help badly. He was enjoyable to talk to and really made sure we were always taken care of. BTW- the beds are the foam TempurPedic type beds that were simple and comfortable not like the hotel we stayed in Venice. Every morning came with a good breakfast to start your day and not to mention a nice cup of expresso/cappuccino! We will definitely come back to Rome and will stay here again.

We stayed for three nights in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms have a nice size and were very clean. Breakfast was good with all the dolci that were being offered. The hotel is situated ideally for those who don't mind taking the metro to the city center or other touristic spots. And if you have to catch a plane early in the morning there is no better place to stay. I would definitely come back to this hotel if I would make another short visit to Rome.
