Me and my girlfriend stayed for a long weekend. The hotel was really nice, the rooms were kept clean, and the staff were very easy. A bus stop is located near by (the '90' into Rome city centre). We didnt pay for a bus journey all weekend!!

I found the ARS to be a great little Hotel. We were treated very well, the staff went out of their way more than once for me. Clean and modern with roomy accomodations. Jacuzzi, stall shower, bidet in a very large bathroom. Extremely clean with marble everywhere. A great place if you want to relax at your hotel for a day besides your sightseeing agenda. Private courtyard, roof top lounge-really nice view, very private setting off the main drag. Although a bit out of the city center. the bus gets you downtown or take a cab back for 15 euro afterhours. Really enjoyed our time there.

This is the second time we've stayed at the ARS Hotel. As before, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast wonderful, and the staff very helpful and attentive. Realize that the ARS is not in the middle of Rome, but rather an express bus ride away from the Roma Termini. Get the Roma Pass from the Tourist office and all becomes easy. It does add a bit of time to the end of the day, however. There are number of good restaurants near the hotel, which is on a quiet residential street. That means that the hotel is quiet, an advantage over hotels more in Rome's central tourist area. The people in the neighborhood are nice and helpful, like the hotel staff. Enjoy.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly, and happy to provide information or arrange a taxi. The breakfast was well stocked and plentiful, and there was a small tea tray in the room. There was also a small bar and a mini bar in the room.

The bus stop is about a 5 mins walk from the hotel and reception provided information on routes into the city. Bus number 60 will take you to the Colosseum, Roman Forum and near to the train station. If you change in the city to the number 40 bus, this will take you to the Vatican and near to the Trevi Fountain.

The hotel is in the suburbs so expect it to take between 20 - 30 mins on the bus to reach the centre, the buses were very busy and standing is the norm. On the plus side the buses were cheap 1 Euro for 75 mins travel.

Nearby there were good resturants (ask at reception for a card and you will get a discount at a nearby resturant). There was also a couple of small shops nearby.

When we booked we understood there was a free bus shuttle to the city centre but this was not available so we used public transport.
