Stayed on a one night break en route to elsewhere. Hotel was clean, beds comfortable, aircon good and even though we were on the first floor excellent double glazing blocked out any traffic noise.

Having been to Rome a couple of times before I was a bit dubious about staying so close to the station but there was no need as the area felt perfectly safe.

Room itself was dark (in Pais that would be "charming") but adequate and was pleasantly surprised by minibar, safe in room and bath.

If I wanted somewhere to stay in Rome for a reasonable price to use as a base and a decent night's sleep then I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Me and my husband went a small get-away break to Rome and stayed at the Marconi Hotel in Rome city centre.

The rooms are small there - but thats standard in the city centre.
The room was clean and basic. We spent all day out sight-seeing. It was lovely.
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.
We think we got great value for our money spent here and when we return to rome in the future we would msot definatly be staying Marconi hotel.

The bathroom was small but very clean. The bedrooms were cleaned daily, fresh sheets and towels.
We had breakfast there which was basic continental but again it was fine as there were so many places where you could grab a snack. The hotel was a great base and recommend it to anyone who is planning a trip in Rome for sight seeing.

For a 3 star hotel the Marconi was very good. Very clean, good size rooms with a safe in the room which is a must in Rome so you can leave some money/credit cards behind when you go out for the day. Was concerned about some of the reports of noise and the Terminii area being rough but the hotel is only a short walk from the Terminii which is great as a tourist because it means you can get around very easy. Stayed for 5 days towards end of February and we did see some beggars but no more than in the rest of Rome. Didn't come across any incidents with Pickpockets or Gypsies. Breakfast was very good with a good selection and if certain foods ran out they were always replenished promptly. Good restaurant, frequented by locals, just around the corner if you don't want to travel too far in the evening. Would stay there again, no problem.

We've just returned from a four night stay at the Marconi Hotel in Rome and was well impressed with the interior of this 3 star establishment. The staff were very courtious and very helpful with everything and also spoke very good english.
The hotel has been recently decorated and has around 40 rooms covering the first two floors of the building.
The room itself was what you would expect of a 3 star hotel and it included tea and coffee making facilites, hairdryer, TV and a small fridge which is brill for having that bottle of wine or pint of milk. There is also a free safe deposit box in all the rooms.
The breakfast was continental buffet with ample food to set you up for the day.
There are also two excellent restaurants on the corner of the building which is great after a long tiring day walking about Rome.
All in all, a very pleasant hotel stay, and it is conveniently situated one street away from the main Termini station which is the dropoff point for most coaches from Ciampino airport.
I would most likely stay here again if returning to Rome.
