The Prime Hotel is an excellent hotel, although its distance from the city center may pose as a slight hurdle for some.

Primarily, the hotel itself is clean, has friendly staff, and has all the amenities of a 4 star hotel. Its location is rather secluded from the main road, but having a local convenience store is handy.
It is situated near a bus stop (3min walk) from which the city center can be reached directly by a few buses, or alternatively, you could take a bus to the nearby train station (La Guistinia).

Some information which may be useful to those who are going to book this hotel regarding transport to the hotel:
Taking a cab to the hotel is very expensive, so avoid it if possible. From the main train station of Rome (Termini), take the bus 217 to Paizello bus stop, and from there take the 223 bus to Cassia Via Barbarano.
OR
Take the metro from Termini to Valle Aurellia and then another train to La Guistinia station, from this the bus 201 will take you to the bus stop (cassia Via barbarano) where the hotel is nearby.
From Termini station, all the major attractions of Rome are nearby by metro.
This information was found by trial and error when we went to Rome, but part of the adventure is getting lost and finding your own way back!

Overall, it was a brilliant hotel, comfortable and affordable and an exciting city break. No major complaints, but it did rain slightly, pugs got wet.

This hotel was advertised as close to the airports and 20 minutes' drive from the Centre of Rome. It may be a 20 minute drive but on public transport it took about an hour and a half each way including waiting etc. You need to take a shuttlebus (which you have to book in advance) to the local mainline station, then a train into the centre of Rome, where you can pick up the Metro. There were only 6 seats in the shuttlebus and it doesn't run on Mondays. You can alternatively get a public bus to the station, but you can't buy a ticket on the bus. We asked on the first day where we could get a bus from but they didn't tell us that they could sell us a bus ticket at the hotel. We found this out when we were leaving.

The biggest problem was the lack of information. The travelling into Rome was fairly easy (if a bit time-consuming) once we got used to it, but we were just dropped off at a station and had to work out for ourselves how to get into Rome, how to work the ticket machine, where to get off etc. It would be really easy to give this information to all guests, and yet they didn't.

The staff at reception were quite rude and unhelpful, and did not seem to think it was their job to give any information about anything. If you asked them a question they would give you the exact piece of information you asked for but nothing more. We saw them refusing to investigate another guest's complaint about their room. They had our leaving date wrong, and our final bill wrong. This wouldn't necessarily have been a major problem (everyone makes mistakes) but they didn't apologise and somehow made us feel like it was our fault (they were undercharging us, so I felt we were doing them a favour to point it out!)

The hotel is also down a very bumpy, muddy road with potholes in. It is very dark to walk down at night after getting off the public bus.

The room was clean and fairly comfortable. The food in the restaurant was nice, though there wasn't a great deal of choice. The fruit juices at breakfast were very watered down and sometimes the choice at breakfast was a little narrow too.

The hotel was cheap, and although it was not really a 4 star hotel, the facilities were reasonable for what we had paid. It looks lovely from the outside and has the potential to be a very good hotel. More information about the hotel and surrounding area should be given to guests and the staff need to be more polite. The location is a problem but could be overcome if they ran shuttlebuses right into the centre of Rome several times a day including Mondays (even if they charged a small amount for them).

Found the hotel staff very helpful although it is outside centre of Rome it's only 20 minutes by train to St Peters Square and the metro is very good if you need taxi from Rome to hotel it should cost €25.00 at the most but don't ask for fixed price we were charged €40.00 when we asked for fixed price. would recomend this hotel if not bothered about staying in centre rooms were cleaned everyday with clean sheets

I have just returned from Rome and stayed at the Prime Hotel. It was a bit far out of the City but once you got the hang of the metros, it was easy. When we arrived at Ciampino Airport, there were agents saying book this taxi, hire this bus etc, but we went to the travel kiosk and booked the bus to the metro 1.20 euros and then a ticket for the metro to our station then a bus for 1 euro. The hotel was very clean, the staff helpful and the breakfasts were super with cereals, eggs, bacon, fresh bread, spreads, croissants and you could have as much as you liked. The room was adequate with twin beds, t.v. and the bathroom had a bath with shower over. The room was cleaned every day. What more do you need. Overall I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was completely terrible. It is located in about 50 kilometers away from FCO airport, and 30 kilometers away from the center of Rome. I took a taxi from the airport and it cost 48 euro. Hotel staffs were unpleasant to me, and I felt very bad. The room was very small and no buthtub. The bathroom was separated by only a carten without any steps, so the floor got wet. The instruction that the hotel gives us says that the bus to the center leaves from in front of the hotel every 15 minutes, but it was a completely lie. I had been waiting for the bus more than 45 minutes every time. There was no direct bus to the center so we changed bus once. Including waiting time, it took 1hour and half. I found this hotel from a website named Cheap hotels.co.uk. This website is a liar.
You must not go to this hotel; otherwise, you can not enjoy your staying. This hotel is sucks!!!
